Ours is fine until not enough attention is given. This is pretty much what I wake up to every morning, only in shouty Tabby.

How have you managed to have 2 spaniels *and* a clean floor? They actually keep themselves pretty clean. Their main walk is at the beach these days, so they just shake the sand off outside and rarely get muddy.

The cat has had what the vet thinks is an allergic reaction to something that’s irritated her skin and cause her to over-groom herself a bald spot on her back.
She’s had a jab of some medicine and has a cone on to keep her away from it. But she’s now licking the inside of the cone as she tries to wash instead. Its incredibly noisy.

Get that quite a lot with one of mine. He seems quite sensitive to flea bites so if we accidentally miss a month, it can be a nightmare.

Someone hasn't heard the cheese tax song, it's compulsory.

Hi, my name is Wilma, my hobbies are cuddling, sleeping in people's laps and biting my brother's ears. And I'll be moving in with the Oz's in 3½ weeks!

Well, someone had a haricut the other day and... Oh my god. Where's 75% of my dog gone!!! When we turned up to collect her I saw all this (what looked like) wool in a bucket and my first thought was that they had been shearing a sheep at the same time that Penny was in... She had to though. So matted around the legs no matter what we did and she was just filthy ALL the time. When she was wet she'd take hours to dry off as well even with the hairdryer. It won't be this short again but needed to be done apparently. Can't wait for it to grow back. She now has to wear her jumpers all the time as she's freezing

Yeah Pickle was the same with his. He was crazy fluffy and had to have a couple of baths due to a bad stomach. Groomer had to cut him right down and looks like he needs an 8 week trip to them rather than the 12 we are used to. He is substantially less chonk than he was a week ago.

What's weird is how it affected Penny mentally. She's been a different dog. Only yesterday did she start to seem like her usual self again. The groomer did say it would happen but she's been so shaky and timid since the cut.

Ha, even fatso Bobby looks odd with a close cut. He desperately needs doing again - had to cancel the 6 weekly one due to stuff and couldn't get in for another month. Way too long for him. My wife just showered him, had to try get all the food out of his tache/beard, and apparently he had a load of shite matted in his fur. He is rubbish at keeping himself clean and won't let us near him.
Also, the little sod nipped my daughter at the weekend. She was playing with him and he either got grumpy or over-excited. Nothing major but a good warning that all dogs can do it so need to be careful.

wunty, I dunno, but he got grumpy when we tried to tell him off (scared and defensive more than anything). Chucked him outside for 30 mins, then he was outside the living room for the rest of the evening, feeling very remorseful and sorry for himself. Barely broke the skin but not the point.

Always like this thread, although I never post. Lost one of my dogs last summer and have finally bitten the bullet and been to see a 1yr old rescue lurcher today. I get to introduce my other dog next Saturday, and assuming it goes ok I get to take him home. Nervous about the whole situation.

I agree wholeheartedly. Considering I wasn't a fan of dogs for most of my life, I can't quite believe the complete 180 I've done recently. I love my dog so much it's not even funny.
