Yeah, my boys get special breakfast and dinner on their birthdays and Christmas.
They then go on a hunger strike for a few days when their food returns to normal. The snobby bastards.

Given the chance, Bunky would snuggle with her brother forever. AJ is not so keen, though.

Heh, same with ours. Luna is like a shadow for Saus. Won't give him two minutes of peace.

Two of our cats are properly bonded and spend nearly all day together grooming each other, but every once in a while they’ll get lairy and bash each other over the head.

Pod got his foot stuck in an espresso cup and couldn’t work out how to remove it. Pod is special. As beautiful as all the cute dogs are, Pod is FG's best animal. What a weirdo superstar!

Our two are brothers so are affectionate one minute, scrapping the next.

Little one is in season so having to wear this lovely piece. She hates me. Had to move to medium as she was able to wriggle out of the small ones. Hopefully she's nearly finished then can be booked in for her op in a couple months.

I'd hate you too. At least get some that match her coat.

Bitch managed to get out of it. No idea how she did it as she doesn't even try during the day.

Thought my two were fairly inseparable until last week. Took one to the vets for a checkup, which he never likes. Brought him home and t'other basically treated him like a stranger for 6 hours, hissing and growling and attacking him when he got too close. The patient was completely confused by the situation. Its quite a common thing apparently but first time I experienced that in 30 years of owning cats. I think he was basically stinking of fear or the vet was using some really weird soap.
Anyway they are best buds again now.

So... It looks like we are getting a cat from someone nearby who has realised their flat with no garden isn't great for a year old cat that wants to explore.
Any tips on settling him in / best food etc?
Do we just plonk him down in the carrier, show him his litter / food places and let him explore?

Kernow isn't impressed at going from two walks a day to one at 6am so he doesn't die. Stupid sun.

Nice. Maj has picked a shady spot for now. It's quite cool there, there's been no sun on that part of the patio and he's got two water bowls 😁

Dudley is adamant that he go for his walk, the nutter. His cooling bandana must be giving him a false sense of the situation.
Maybe he'll learn this way that he can actually do a poo in the garden, and not always on a walk.
Or maybe he'll tear my face off first.

Finally decided to get a cat. Our daughter is desperate for a pet, and as giving her a sibling seems ever more unlikely we want to get her some company (and for us as well, we do love cats and are not newbies so it's a considered decision). We're picking up a rescue from a cats and dogs home tomorrow, she seems very affectionate and is only a year old and needs a forever home, which we're very eager to give. Our daughter is five and does not have a clue, so tomorrow after school is going to be very exciting
