I spent about five hours with it yesterday and enjoyed every moment - it feels like my kind of chill game with just the right upgrade loop going on. I built a couple of shit but functional houses and basically spent time gathering leather scraps, leather etc to upgrade my stuff. Finally got my workbench to +3 with the addition of a tanning rack.
I've no idea how long I'll play it for but it was perfect for taking my mind off an aggravating bit of Wo Long.

Early impressions I have with it is that I'd much rather be playing Fallout 76. The base building in Valheim seems really clunky so far.

For those that collect MS Reward points, there’s now an option to set an auto redeem for one month of GPU for 10,500 points.

Valheim is _incredible_ (albeit I played with 2 friends). Stick with it folks. Later on you'll look back on your first settlement with a mix of nostalgia and amazement that you built something so basic despite thinking it was the best thing ever.

Maybe some licensed songs?
Sure would be nice if it returned to the store with a next-gen patch for good measure.

I did it at the weekend. 3 x 1 year Gold codes from CDKeys, followed by a 1 month Ultimate code (again from CDKeys). Total cost £110.76 for 36 months of Ultimate, £3 a month which is an absolute bargain. Can get it for £40 cheaper if you buy Turkish codes and use a VPN when redeeming them on MS, but personally didn't want to risk doing a step wrong and wanted to take the easiest route. Did exactly the same a couple of weeks ago. Best deal in gaming. Just to confirm for anyone interested: the trick still works. I stacked three years of Gold and converted them with one month of Ultimate to three years and two months (one for turning on automatic billing) of Ultimate today.

Quantum Break is back on GP.
Would really like MS to pay a sequel.

Quantum Break is back on GP. Would really like MS to pay a sequel. Oh good. Never played it. I'm assuming it's worth a go? Did it get additional frame rate/resolution bells & whistles added during the great xbox game upscalathon era by any chance?

A lot of people hated the end boss fight but the secret is to simply keep moving. But I enjoyed it, ended up downloading the live action episodes as well that take place after each chapter.

I really enjoyed Quantum Break, also watched the live action episodes between chapters. Been a while since I played it but was a highlight of the last gen for sure.

Technically not Game Pass, but I've just seen that Star Wars Episode I Racer is going to be a Game With Gold next month. That's the first time I've been legitimately excited by GWG in, Christ, probably two years.
AND it's for a nearly 25-year-old game, bloody hell.

Yeah q.b. was brilliant (I love all remedy games). Might download it and add it to the pipe.

I’ve been playing the last case of Benedict fox. It’s quite tricky with some difficult combat and a souls like death gimmick. Puzzles are obtuse. Very pretty. Good game Pass fodder.

I gave up on that at the first boss about half an hour in. Captivating presentation, wanky controls, and aggravating combat. No thanks!

I'm sure I read they were closing the loophole, but maybe it hasn't happened yet. As according to a very recent Reddit post it still works. Basically. Buy # years of Xbox Live (I did 3 years just a month or two ago, using CDKeys). Redeem the codes. Buy one month of Xbox Ultimate. Redeem. Turn of auto billing.

They closed the trial bit that's all, at the moment converting gold to gpu still works, just buy a 7 day, week or month code to finish the job.

All sorted. 3 years Xbox Live Gold purchased and then activated. Once done, converted to game pass ultimate with a one month game pass ultimate membership. Total cost was 80 pounds. Not bad!

They’re old now, but recently checked out Prodeus and Shadow Warrior 3. They are both excellent nonsense.

CDKeys are flogging 6 month UK Gold codes for £12.79 currently for anyone looking to stock up and convert to Game Pass.
Could conceivably stack 3 years for £77 + whatever the cheapest/shortest Ultimate code you can find is.
