Monster Train also good if you like deck builders. Persona 5 is also pretty chill, apart from the dungeons on hard mode maybe.

Persona 5 has enough of a challenge in the dungeons on easy, if you’re not used to that style of JRPG. Still recommended though for late-evening playing.

It has really long dungeons though. If he's struggling with DQXI's pacing, I'm not sure P5 will be a better option.

For me it is picross on the switch. A great call, but I have rinsed through 2 of those games already and I'm beginning to feel a little burnt out! I will probably dodge Persona too, even though I'm sure its great. I just need to be able to quit the game the moment I get sleepy amd pick it up the following night without being confused or lost again. Scorn is a great shout! I wrote thay off after the reviews came out, but that might actually be exactly what I'm after. Hardspace Ship Breaker also sounds intriguing, generally. Sounds different. Thanks folks! I have some downloading to do.

Lego Star Wars: Skywalker Saga is coming to Game Pass on December 6th.
Not clear if it's console only, or PC as well, though I'm guessing the latter.

Excellent news about Skywalker Saga, I've thought about buying that so many times.
We're getting Monster Hunter Rise in January as well.

I bought Hot Wheels when everyone in here was raving about it. Hardly played it since the initial buzz wore off, but I'll definitely jump back into the online to see if it gets a boost from being on Game Pass. Some of the player-made tracks were insane in the best way

Some of the player-made tracks were insane in the best way I’ve never played it, but I’ll be giving it a go via Game Pass. My brother and I had a fair collection of the decent Hot Wheels cars from the eighties. As with several other things, wish I still had them.

They also confirmed no cross-play and no cross-progression. Nice to see Capcom still stuck in the middle ages.

I only played a little bit of it at launch before getting distracted by other shiny things... Seemed like a solid Lego game, but you really have to be in the mood for them.
Money well spent yet again...

That is fair. The only Lego game that REALLY sucked me in was the first Lego Marvel to be honest. Even the sequel, while I could see it improved on many aspects of the first, I never got around to completing.

Why didn’t you try it out? Was that for me ? If so, just because too many other things to play. If that wasn't for me, as you were

Any more to add to the “Chill-Out Games Pass” list? I really am looking for no-pressure enjoyable experiences that I can play in the closing moments of an evening. Xbox; not Windows. Thanks

No Man's Sky is chill as anything, once you make if off your first planet anyway, which doesn't take long now.

Bumping the above - I was searching for confirmation on how to do the Xbox Gold renewal and saw this, which does indeed work out even cheaper (£2.25/m rather than £3.25). Not sure if the effort of doing it every month is worth the extra £1 saving, but I've been thinking for a while that I should get my yearly renewal moved to January or February rather than Christmas which is already an expensive month for me - so this worked out perfectly! Thanks Binky

Hardspace Shipbreaker is pretty good to chill out to, just turn off the oxygen depletion and spend a bit of time chopping up spaceships with a laser cutter for salvage.
