I like the game, but it’s a different beast from many driving games. Very technical where throttle and brake control are key. The opponent is not other cars, it’s the track really. Keeping on the road and trying to maintain speed. You want to floor it but you really can’t. There’s a nice feeling of accomplishment when you take a bend at speed, getting all sideways and stuff. |

try dodgeball academia, its nice little dodgeball rpg lite. keep getting told to try last stop and on chapter 1 and its laughable low budget, its like rough ps2 HD game

Ok I should have an Series X being delivered today...YAY!. I say "should", because Amazon should of delivered it last Friday but it got delayed, so we will see.
So whats the cheapest way to get GAME PASS? I saw elsewhere a while back people converting there regular subscriptions to ultimate and stacking it for years to come? Not sure if this is still an option?
I have 3 months of ultimate already as it came with the bundle (I havent redemmed the code yet though).
I can see websites like cdkeys do cheap game pass codes. Are these the best place to buy from?
Advice would be appreciated.

I think you've missed the boat on the genuinely astonishing GP deals, but there's still an optimal approach. Step 1: don't redeem or activate *anything* GP: Ultimate related yet. All of the good schemes involve topping up with bog standard Gold codes first and then when you go to GP:U that all gets upgraded.
So yeah - I guess your task now is to find the best XBL Gold 12 month sub price you can. Good luck!

richyroo when i got the series s for my son at xmas, we got 2 x 12 month gold subs which I redeemed. Then when i signed up for GP it gave me the first month free and because I was tying a payment method to it, it also gave me a free month for each 12 months i exchanged. In total i got 27 months for the price of 2 gold subs (£100 from ebay). Doesn't renew until may or june 2023

I am not sure if I have had Ultimate in the past and dont want to risk buying lots of Gold only to find I cannot upgrade. I just checked my MS account and i had Ultimate 2 years ago on my PC for just 2 months.
I also went through the order process and it looked like it was still going to offer me the deal.
If I dont get the deal again and say pay for 12 months of Gold. Are you saying by just buying a 7 day ultimate code, it would convert ALL 12 months of Gold to Ultimate, or would a 7 day ultimate code only convert 1 month of Gold so I would have to buy 12 individual codes?

Yes, the 7 day code will convert the entire 12 months.
Well that is sweet. It takes away the risk of buying gold and then not getting the offer.
I guess I will treat myself to 12 months of Gold tonight now!

Thanks for the assist guys. Have managed to end up with 25 months of Ultimate for what equates to £3.08 a month. Well chuffed with that!
Also added the 3 month code afterwards which I got in the bundle. It let me add 4 months by turning on recurring billing (turned straight offf again).
I am now paid up til Feb 2024!!! |

I’m a bit smitten with Art Or Rally, I think I’ll actually stump up cash for it on PS5 if/when they get around to releasing it there too. It’s got all the serious rally hallmarks- hairpin bends, off camber bends, jumps, technical village sections, etc and is pleasingly close to the sim-cade end with surprisingly deep car handling.
I think it looks like an arcade game, but it doesn’t play like one which is why some people bounce off it.

I think the opposite - it's absolutely an arcade game. Handling in the same ballpark as Outrun in that once you've figured it out you can keep those infini-slides going as much as you want. Also a big fan of the game - strangely I enjoy it more on my laptop than on the big screen with the Series X. Something about the visuals and the tilt shift-esque effect makes it suit the smaller screen. Like looking into a moving diorama.
The patch they put out fixed the stupid shit it launched with like text hidden behind buttons and the like, which is welcome.

I have no idea about the specifics but I assume devs get paid a certain sum for having their game on the service in the first place. This was the case with all those timed Epic exclusives from a while back, which many developers said was a godsend for their financial stability: they didn't have to rely on the whims of popularity or wait to see how their sales numbers turned out. I doubt Microsoft's terms are anywhere near as generous, but since they need the games for Game Pass to be worth it for consumers at all, they do have to make it immediately worthwhile for the developers. Maybe they also offer bonuses based on how many players their game gets there, but I'm guessing that's a secondary thing. For me, it takes the 'supporting the developer' part of a purchasing decision out of the equation a bit. If they're on Game Pass, they've obviously already got it made pretty well, and I can sign up whenever to play it for (probably) cheaper than buying it via Steam or elsewhere. If I'm going to buy games to own, I prefer to buy the ones that don't already have the stamp of a big subscription service on them. |
