It's interesting (to me) that they've decided to publicly cut him off like that without the conclusion of the court case. He is still only the *allegedly* domestically violent Justin Roiland. Thank god it's not the actually domestically violent Justin Roiland. |

Wish I'd got up to date on this before all this shit came out... Not sure if I'll still enjoy the show or not :/ It's all a bit grim isn't it. Think I'm probably done with it now, but might give new ones a go. Have to remember that hundreds of people would work on a show like that, not one or two. Still, for a series that flies close to the sun, you can't help but review some lines in a new context. |

How true is that though because high on life was so similar to Rick and Morty in terms of delivery and jokes that it would be very surprising if he hadn't. I would imagine it's trying to save the brand but maybe I'm being overly cynical.

I think the voices are fine, if I didn't know they'd recast I probably wouldn't have noticed any difference, give it an episode or two and I doubt anyone will.

Yeah, that was fine. Maybe they could hang a lampshade on it, like they both get zapped by a robot voice changing ray or something.
I just hope they manage to make it consistently funny again. The last couple of seasons have been pretty patchy.

I think they sound good and I'll stop noticing pretty quickly. If you compare episode 1 to the last one of season 6 they sound different too so another change won't make that much of a difference if they're this similar. |

Just a bit of a flat episode and it didn't grab me. Happens from time to time but not that often.
New voices are fine though.

I'm very surprised that the voice matching is so close. I really thought it would be a problem.
I guess the next issue will be whether the writing has suffered. As has been said above, recent seasons were patchy but I still enjoyed them a lot.

The bit with the torso factory really made me chuckle.
It was almost a good episode but it felt a bit off. I don't know if they've changed the animation style but it doesn't seem as polished as previous seasons somehow.
I think Rick's voice is more or less fine, but Morty's isn't as good. Mind you, that one seemed to change a fair bit between previous seasons anyway.
