England should be considered the favourites for the next Euros. Belgium are done. Spain need to rebuild. France and Portugal are on their way down. Italy probably won't qualify. Southgate has the young team to build on. Mbappe is 23. Camavinga is 20. Saliba is 21. We'll hopefully be among the favourites but France aren't going anywhere. Yeah France/England could be the teams to beat for the next few years.

France were also missing Kante, Pogba, Kimpembe, oh and the latest Ballon d'Or winner.
I think they'll be OK for a few years yet.

Considering how poor England had been in the build up to this tournament getting knocked out by the chaos in the Quarter finals is good.

Can I just say, I've ALWAYS admired Morocco.

It's not quite Algeria, but presumably there'll be a fair bit of ex-colonial niggle in the Morocco game. Could be tasty.

I have them in the sweepstake so I'm team Morroco now. I would like to see Messi win it though.
Especially as it would send Ronaldo into a full on Homelander sulk.

For me with England it always comes down to execution no matter how tactically astute we are. Clearly Southgate has sent them out as focused and as confident as any England team in history, they’ve totally outplayed the current World Champions and they’ve still lost
And the reason is that top, top players execute more often than not and merely good players don’t. We have good players but we don’t have any great players
Nothing to be ashamed of

We all going with the ITV Curse? I think Twitter has settled on Spurs judging by how fast the archive is being scoured

We're going to be an absolute force in the next decade with this young team but do we have any young strikers coming through, can't really think of any at all?

Wasn't expecting to see Alli getting sucked off in the replies of that tweet.

Why didn't Southgate bring on James Maddison to take that penalty and fulfil his destiny of leading England to World Cup glory?

Someone pay attention to me. It's Kal baiting. There's a weird thing with some of the Utd fans and him. I'm an Irishman watching England crash out of another tournament. Safe to say I would be mocking any player bar Rashford that missed that penalty.

We're going to be an absolute force in the next decade with this young team but do we have any young strikers coming through, can't really think of any at all? That’s probably the area we are a bit weak in. Barring injuries, Kane’s probably got 2/3 more tournaments in him, but if he were to be injured it’s a bit of a step down. Wilson could certainly be effective, but is made of glass.

It helps but I don't think an amazing CF is absolutely essential as proven by France winning the World Cup with Guivarch and Giroud. Spain won it with David Villa. Someone not crap is perfectly fine. Brewster perhaps? Balogun (if he doesn't switch to the US for a 'home' world cup). I'm sure there are others. We didn't know we were going to get Rooney and Owen until they just emerged fully formed.

Toney's only 26 I guess but he's too busy down the bookies. If Haaland had picked England to play for we would have won the next 6 tournaments.

I guess what I’m saying is we’ve got 5 or so years for the next generation of talent to emerge. Hopefully we’ve got enough cover until that point.

What we really want are decent enough midfielders so Harry Kane doesn't need to leave the 18 yard box.
