Tomori not getting in is a joke. Soon English players who harbour International aspirations are going to think even harder over whether moving abroad is the best idea for their careers.
I know Bellingham is in the squad but he'll be playing in the Premier League next season, unfortunately.
Also, pleasantly surprised to see Maddison make it. Good on him, and Southgate.

Both doing the business for their clubs in ways Coady and Maguire aren’t, although neither are Gareth’s boys like those two have been.

That defence looks really weak. The thought of maguire and Dier in the same team fills me with dread. Attacking wise it looks much better as long as Southgate isn’t too scared to use them. Which he undoubtedly will be. Expect Phillips to start over Bellingham for instance.

Yes but he can't judge him too much based off one game, shirley. Anyway, the weekend shall be interesting. Definitely going to be players going out consciously or subconsciously avoiding injury. And one or two very unlucky callups who will get injured on the eve of the cup. |
