In the interest of transparency I completely forgot to mention I bought Syberia 1 two weeks ago and completed it in two sittings over that weekend meaning it temporarily filled my final slot before I subsequently completed Skyward Sword. I rather enjoyed it, please could you add it to my completed list along with Skyward sword. Freeing two of my slots once more for new entries. I'm probably going to fill a slot with Travis Touchdown when I can be bothered to open up my wallet but I've been busy reconnecting with some old favourites from previous years which has kept both of my hands full.

In the interest of FUCK THIS CHALLENGE today I have started forcing myself to play the dribbly poop that is Star Trek: Bridge FUCKING Commander. I need to clear at least one slot on my list for the October/November games I've been keen to try and the other three games don't appear to be going anywhere.  |

The switch from three to four slots this year is the only reason having utter shitters on the list isn't infuriating this time around. I could've lived with Bridge Commander as the millstone around my neck, but that's Sekiro now so I have to clear the slot. :-D

Yeah, the four slots does allow for a bit more risk and experimentation. For instance I'm really close to buying a shmup and try a 1cc finish. Spelunky was also a gamble, but I'm really enjoying it. Add the obligatory JRPG (for me) and I still have one slot for any surprise release I might have missed.

After watching the Noclip doc and feeling a bit of shame that Prey is on my backlog I've decided that I'm going to hold off on the Deathloop purchase and and actually play prey.

I've seen all the missions, I've endured all the shitty so-called AI where the real humans were, I've paid my fucking pennance on this digital misery for the last however many months. It's time to move on. I have learned my lesson: VR games designed for four capable humans can't be played by one angry human on a flat screen using a mouse.
Technically I think I should've had a pass on this shitshow anyway, given that it didn't place nicely with my VR hardware, but you're a cruel and heartless bunch and I wouldn't have it any other way. Thanks to your heartlessness I've reached the point of the (shittest) ending in Sekiro, so bless you all.

Actually, much as I gripe, the relatively chill nature of Bridge Crew was a welcome counterpoint to the teeth-gnashing in Sekiro.  Definitely wouldn't have gotten as far as I have without the encouragement in the thread though - same as with Hollow Knight a few years back. Amazing what a bit of peer pressure combined with wanting to be in the cool gang can do. |

🎯 Hitman 3
6 levels long and you can blast through it in the space of a day. And you’d be totally missing the point. Fantastic sandboxes that let you run amok or try to stealth your way through. Apex Predator is a definite highlight. Only downside is that after finishing it I found myself wishing IO would get the chance to make a Splinter Cell.

I'm halfway through Psychonaughts 2 and Metro Exodus, the latter of which I just bumped down to easy combat as it wasn't quite doing it for me. The world though? Holy fuckamoly am I enjoying that. So with a bit of luck I'll have three slots free come mid-October. Should see me right for the silly season of releases.

Not only that, but 🎯 Metro Exodus credits have rolled. I got the bad ending because I accidentally murdered about two hundred innocent people. On such marginal numbers do big decisions swing, I guess. I'm 50/50 on the game. I liked it enough to finish it, but I'm not entirely sure all of it was worth my time. When it was good it absolutely sang, but when it was bad it was jank-a-geddon. |

I've parked Sekiro though (rental is back int he post) so any time I get for the foreseeable will go into Psychonauts 2 which I'm really, really enjoying.

Yeah, it's (psychonauts 2) quite good, but i felt it went on just a wee bit too long.
Still went back to hoover a few achievements though, which probably suggests i quite enjoyed it overall.

Back playing og Titanfall. Not sure what i want to play now tbh.
Back4Blood soon, and battlefield, although i sed that's been delayed a bit now.
Anybody got any game pass suggestions to start? Not platformers (played psychonauts), but something new to play in the 15—20hr mark to keep me out of mischief for a couple of weeks would be welcome.

I think The Medium might fit the bill there, if that's your bag. It didn't set the world alight, but I quite enjoyed my time with it. Similar to my feelings on Senua, actually, which you just finished. About the right length for the game it was, if that makes sense.
