How do pre-orders work? They have to be added don't they?
I have ponied up for battlefield 2042(or was that the old one?). It's the new one anyway.
So i have that and the ascentfilling two of my, uh, slots

I think where we landed on pre-orders was that it took up a slot once it was in your posession rather than ephemerally when you might've ordered it. A few ne'er-do-wells scraped a win in the challenge that way.  I'm tempted to call 🎯 Art of Rally done as the Series X dashboard tells me I've clocked 12 hours in it, and I'm on the last couple of races of the third full season (out of six on offer). Feels like the game has shown me everything it has to show - there's no "beating" the game per se, because regardless of how you finish the next year's competition opens up. That said, I've got a podium finish in every year so far - plus all the available unlocks - on the normal difficulty. I'll absolutely still dive in and out of it, but for the purposes of this thread I think I'll consider it well played. Looking at the achievements, and how most of them are "Rare," it looks like most people didn't get out of the first group rallies. That's sad - hopefully not an indication of the overall reception. |

Exactly right Mr Nazo. Exceptions can be requested though:
"Pre-orders count as a slot filled as soon as you pre-order, in all but exceptional cases. Those cases have to be presented as a plea to the Duckbreaker. The Duckbreaker may be benevolent in cases of limited edition pre-orders that would sell out before release. However, the majority of pre-orders are a foolish way of paying more for a game that probably hasn't been properly finished yet, and may turn out to be shite. Surely that Big Game from last year, now fully patched and complete with all dlc at a fraction of the cost is a far more sensible purchase? You know I am right."

Trust our failed prophet Phattso to get the pre-order rule wrong 😜. Good job Du... Samildanach was on hand to keep order here.
Anyway, onto the one that truly led us into the light, the irreprochable DuckBreaker. I have completed 🎯Star Wars: Squadrons. Hmm, not spectacular, even a little disappointing and I'm kinda glad to be finished. I still think the classic Tie Fighter/X-Wing games are a lot better and all round more fun. It felt weirdly slow, like I was flying a garbage truck through space and some of the missions were a bit of a mess. Anyway, it's done.
Not sure what's next, all my slots are currently clean as a whistle. I'm tempted by a few games in the new PSN sale so will update once I've had a look, or play some old stuff instead that won't count toward a slot.

Also in the rules is: "games you have pre-ordered BEFORE the start of this challenge don't need to go on until they arrive." |

Credits rolled. There are still some bonus levels to play (which I will), but for pigwhip I want to consider it done.
Lovely little game. Some of the later puzzles were proper hard.

Man, that last few boss battles, especially the gate hack were maddening, but got there in the end.
Enjoyed it overall, but did get very samey.
Purty game tho.

🦆 and 🎯 on Twelve Minutes. Was just trying it out and accidentally completed it. Not sure what the review was on about - if that is considered obtuse clicking on pixels then I’d love to see the reviewer try Simon the Sorcerer! :-)
It was an ok game. I enjoyed it. Ending was a bit odd and I’m not sure it makes sense. Whiled away a few hours though.

I can't believe that pustulant meat-sack called Phattso was about to give someone a free pass on a pre-order. Thankfully more competent humans prevailed. I'm not even surprised; just disappointed.
