Do you guys have any classic threads that you'd like to to translate and post on this board? I'd love to see if Stefansen made more sense in his native language (assuming he actually is Italian and not from Omicron Persei Derp)

This might be my favourite thread. How do I say "Morag, it happened again!" in Italian "Morag, è successo di nuovo!" The first font geek website t-shirt slogan has arrived.

"Morag, è successo di nuovo!" The first font geek website t-shirt slogan has arrived. Fun fact: "successo" means "happened", but also "success". So it's SIMILAR to say "Morag, it's a success again", even if the correct syntax for that sentence would be "Morag, è di nuovo (un) successo". Hope those t-shirts will be a success.

Let's wait for him, one of the two "stories keepers" of our .it forum.

I'd love to see if Stefansen made more sense in his native language (assuming he actually is Italian and not from Omicron Persei Derp) Well no, Stefansen was exactly the same in italian as well, I am afraid. As for some classic threads, unfortunately they heavily relied on images that were lost when Tinypic said goodbye. One was the "Let's make a hero together", where starting from a human base we kept adding features until we felt he was complete. We called him TARMIST, Then we made his enemy, Judge Problem. The all-time classic thread was "Abbiamo rapito Falconero", or "We kidnapped Falconero", who at the time was one of the admins of the forum Creativity ensued as the SWAT team tried to free him, SWAT team made up of Slowpoke, Wilson (the ball from Cast Away), captain Achab and Tarmist. Oh, and of course, the "Loman Plan", in italian "Piano Loman", codename "Pianolo Man"

Piano Loman was the very peak of our history. That time we organised a protest against Rupert Loman (codename: Pianolo Man, which refers to Piano Loman) asking for bigger avatars. We decided to replace ALL of our avatars with the very same picture of Loman, BUT each one of our new avatars were slightly modified with some additions: moustaches, wax coming out from ears, snot from the nose, etc. After doing so we all moved onto the .net forum invading threads, asking for bigger avatars and posting shit like "Panettone is on the table". Few of us died by hand of the banhammer, while few survivors (like me and Arkler) made it back to the .it able to tell this story for the records.

ArklerModerator3 days ago @therealfrancio All good things must come to an end. We could see if the exiles of English EG who are on Fontgeek host us I'm afraid not but:asd: TheRealFrancio3 days ago Arkler I did not even know about the existence of this community, but certainly if we want to carry out a mediation, you are the most suitable person. That then the last few years here, in the pneumatic vacuum, we were all in rose water that more we could not, almost normal users of normal forums, I dare say. It remains to be seen whether there is room there for a nosense section, which goes beyond the concept of a sports bar.:asd::asd: ArklerModerator3 days ago @therealfrancio Meanwhile I tried an approach with the English exiles, I carefully avoided talking about football I hope it's okay fontgeek.io/thread/306/come-peace-wasteland-forum-ita:asd::asd:ArklerModerator3 days ago Ok it seems they are welcoming people we can also stay on fontgeek if we want:asd::asd: TheRealFrancio3 days ago Arkler Very well, I signed up. I don't know how much I'll be able to keep up with it, but I put good will into it:asd: TheRealFrancio3 days ago In the last 5-6 years I have always logged in via smartphone, now, for the last goodbyes, I have returned to the PC. And what a nostalgia... Anyway on Font Geek I think you are fine, I really like the old style, and it makes me feel really old:bua: TheRealFrancio3 days ago Also, Snake from there I smell of already seen here ArklerModerator3 days ago TheRealFrancio wrote: Also, Snake from there smells like I've already seen here Yes, maybe it's him:sisi: Flower19853 days ago From there where?:uhm: TheRealFrancio3 days ago Fiore1985 wrote: From there where?:uhm: In the beyond that you find turning at the bottom right after the beyond here Flower19853 days ago :smugpalm: TheRealFrancio3 days ago Arkler As expected, your self-welcome post turned into a thread about how pasta is cooked. Or rather, seeing some answers, about how English monkeys think you can cook pasta. ArklerModerator3 days ago TheRealFrancio wrote: Arkler As was to be expected, your self-welcome post turned into a thread about how to cook pasta. Or rather, seeing some answers, about how English monkeys think you can cook pasta. It was a calculated risk. He made me unravel what he asked me if we know Stefansen, I told him "he went on a mission and never got back. We just assumed he got lost" and makes me "boy did he get lost" However we will get by very well, so much is a forum to die even their I think there will be fun a little before the inevitable further decline :rotfl::rotfl:

To swim in the fabled rose water, one must brave the pneumatic vacuum, with the English monkeys and their soft boiled pasta and ketchup.

Was it "I am the eraser, you are the glue" ?

Yeah, it's why it's so difficult to secure it when a new forum happens. It's weird though, so so many Italians are lusting after DAMAGE for their online handle, from Quake, to the candle shop, to the wargaming site, to the etc etc

BTW good luck getting these British blokes interested in volleyball. I once tried it and failed very quickly. That image may do a better job, though.

I've been known to have a cappuccino in the afternoon. Do you hate me? No, cappuccino is fine up until aperitivo time (~7pm). Unless you had it along with non-sweet foods, in that case yes, we hate you.
