We were wandering through wastelands and all of a sudden we stumbled upon Discord, where each of us has opened a server of his own and now we are fighting each other viciously. A couple of the things I said above might be inaccurate and / or false |

Joking aside, whatever floats your boat mate Ah well... no it isn't. It is something different, more akin to the old days of IRC. I would go as far to say that Discord IS the modern IRC, and though they have implemented Slack-type threads, they still cannot replace a proper forum. Discord is still good when a server has the proper amount of subchannel, each moderated and curated, and can somewhat make up for a missing forum. But it cannot truly replace it. |

On a side note, because the first arcade game I played was Donkey Kong in the lobby of a Rome hotel and every Game & Watch I ever owned was bought for me on trips to Italy, I thought Nintendo was an Italian company till I was in my teens
There was another reason which helped cement that notion, but I can’t put my finger on it

Has been a while since the last post here. We did have a tradition back in the old forum, to put Santa's hats on our avatars this time of the year. Those were good times. Now it just doesn't feel the same, right?
Internet is no longer the place it used to be, we thought we were the ones at the steering wheel, instead we got caught for the ride with everybody else.
Now that I have filled your hearts with joy and optimism, my job here for today is done!

What a simpler world that was, little did we know of what it would happen in just a few months.
On my way to catch up with how the rest of the place is going, seem pretty active and I couldn't be happier to see that it is
