I never thought the forum would have ended this way. I had hoped for a peacefully transition to oblivion. Abandoned but there, decaying but its ruins still available for a visit.
I am quickly revisiting old areas, previous pages, it all seems so surreal. Soon it will be no more. I know it has been probably 5 years since the last truly active phase of our forum, yet we spent at least another 5 before that when everything was incredibly funny.
I miss those times. But we changed, the internet changed. We only have our memories of them, but when a forum entirely disappears... a chunk of those memories will go with it.

It's really a bit sad. 20ish years of EG forums is a huge amount of stuff to lose at the flick of a switch, but that's what it seems to have come down to.
Glad that you guys have found a new home too though. Absolutely not an issue with me (and presumably others) if you want to have dedicated threads where you talk among yourselves, but it'll be nice to have your input elsewhere too.
