Yeah, eurogamer.it turned into a wasteland pretty quickly. Also no idea how the front page is still going over there, they can't possibly have enough page views to even keep a single member of staff on... Anyway, as long as you're nothing like Stefanssen, welcome... Also, whereabouts are you from? Lago Maggiore represent! We did actually name our last active area on the forum "the Wasteland". It did not last long, died shortly after. Also, we're happy to know Stefanssen made it all the way to your land, where do you keep him? I hope the key for his door is well secured. Whereabouts: once I tell mine we can open a whole new thread about it. I'm from Sicily. No, we don't make offers that people cannot refuse. No, nobody gets shot during a wedding, this isn't Westeros. Yes, laws are often seen as general advice here.

Do you put mushrooms in your spaghetti? Yes. Not everybody likes it as a dish, but it grows on him eventually

I like pineapple on pizza. Actually, one of my favorites is a Hawaiian with added prawns. Do I skip straight to whatever comes after hell?
I'm with you on the breakfast though. Large espresso is all that's needed till lunch, but I am going to go out and buy some suitable biscuits and rectify my ways.

ArklerLike I said, I'm from Lago Maggiore, so perilously close to Stefanssen IRL from what I remember...

Think we just hit a new high for Ferrari fans in the motorsports thread. Consider that even if I'm Italian I've always loved and rooted for English cars. McLaren and Aston Martin are religion for me, the first one from a more racing point of view (Senna, Hakkinen, etc.) and the latter for the unmatched elegance (Sean Connery started it all for me, with the DB5).
Yeah so, who cares about Ferrari.

Well, you do have a lot of nerve coming here, after denying these fine gentlemen the opportunity to keep the big trophy "home" and taking it to Rome instead... Joking of course, since I'm Greek and we Mediterranean folks should stick together Welcome! I have been actively avoiding talking about that topic with english friends lately I mean, we italians completely understand what losing a final is like, we had a fair share of those. Euro 2000 is far away in the past yet it still hurts to this day. An Italian complaining about losing a final is like Jeff Bezos complaining about losing a fiver….imagine being as confident and arrogant as Italians have every right to be when it comes to football, but never backing it up - Hey presto, you’re English!

Just font walk on rob's lawn and you’ll be fine. It’s easy to spot: it’s the 2 dozen green pixels in front of his cave.

I made chicken tikka pasta. Am I going to hell? Not if you waited for the water to boil before putting the pasta in the pot. You'll be fine with a few years in purgatory. What if you boil the water in the kettle? Then pour it on top of the pasta in the pot then put the heat on.

How else are you supposed to make it? Pasta goes in the kettle!! You laugh, but when our daughter fucked off to uni, I told her that if she was really stuck she could use a kettle to cook beans. Mrs Hermit thought that was a silly thing tell her, but I assured her nobody could be that dense, and then we got the text saying thanks, just had to buy a new kettle. It's hard to believe she's got a phd and is now a law lecturer.

My missus will make spaghetti with ketchup as the sauce.
I've often felt like Henry Hill and wonder just how much longer before I make her go get her fucking shine box.

My missus will make spaghetti with ketchup as the sauce. I've a mate who adds ketchup to almost everything because "it enhances the flavour". He's 40 years old.

Takes aaaages to boil a pan of water on our hob. Always a lot quicker for me to boil a kettle. I bet you degenerates put the pasta in the pot first, then water, then a tiny pinch of salt and olive oil in the pasta water.

Yeah, it's a lot faster. Somebody with nothing better do posted this somewhere many years ago: Having nothing better to do, and having both an electric kettle and one to use on the gas hob, I performed a test back in January I boiled 1 litre of cold tap water in each kettle and measured how much electricity and gas they used to bring it to the boil. The electric kettle used 0.108kWh and took 3 min 20 secs. The kettle on the gas ring used 0.297kWh and took 6 min 4 secs. Cost then worked out at 0.96p electricity and 0.98p gas. So the electric kettle was infinitesimally cheaper and much faster.
