Metal gear rising. i understand all the tunes are crap but it's part of the games charm

Two Worlds II: Wouldn't say that it is one of my favourite ones, but the music was a big part of what helped me enjoy the game more than I would have otherwise.

I recently replayed Bully and the whole OST is just brilliant. It's a game where the music plays a massive role in helping create the atmosphere of each and every moment:

'The Best Is Yet To Come' from the Metal Gear Solid end scene is genuinely one of my favourite pieces of music ever. It's just stunningly beautiful
Another beautiful track is 'To Zanarkand' from Final Fantasy X (aka the last Final Fantasy game I actually really enjoyed). Despite having no music playing ability whatsoever, I have middle-aged day dreams about learning to play this on a piano.
Distressingly not beautiful, Silent Hills 'My Heaven' sounds like a Stomp percussionist having an anxiety attack. I love it.

Perimeter: Again, not necessarily an absolute favourite, but I would have never finished the campaign if not for the strange setting, feel, music, etc.

I'd forgotten how hard the Persona 4: Dancing All Night soundtrack was.
One of my personal favorites is the Snowflakes remix. The original was an okay jpop ballad, but the remix makes it sound as if in the mid-80s, Prince and the Revolution flew to Tokyo to produce a single for a new Japanese artist.

That is a good track but the campaign itself it so boring. Recommend Sunlust if you haven't played it

Yeah TNT isn't great but that track perfectly encapsulates the oldschool DOOM atmosphere for me, the marble walls with corpses splattered on them while blood is flowing through canals between ashen grounds. Awesomeness.
When I tried to get into Ableton Live, I actually tried to recreate this track. It was only a stub so far, but sadly I lost the original files, so all I have is a recording of the few seconds I had of it at the time. I believe I was actually on a good way with this one, but it's lost so whatever.

I've had the Dead or Alive 2 ending credits theme play in my head a lot recently. So here it is.
Probably about time I install it on Series X and give it another go.

I didn't get listening to game sountracks until recently, when I realised that a lot of game soundtracks are really good for getting work done. They don't have distracting vocals, and they tend to be more high-tempo than classical film scores.
Synthwave-y ones in particular are quite good for getting stuff done.

It’s possibly been said before, and possibly by me, but Elder Scrolls, particularly Skyrim, particularly Secunda:- youtu.be/hDu9OOz7kxk

The dark future Redcliffe Castle music from Dragon Age Inquisition is just the right kind of unsettling.

I'd forgotten how much I liked the music to the Zone of the Enders games. Shame we never got a third one. Will, a proper sequel, not the GBA tactics spin-off.

It doesn't get talked about much, but for me, the Megarace soundtrack deserves to sit alongside the greatest of its era. It straddles the line between chiptune and Adlib perfectly, and it's pretty much what you'd expect the BGM to a cyberpunk combat version of Out Run to sound like.

No love for Ridge Racer Type 4? Whole soundtrack is fantastic.
