R4 is one of the all-time best game soundtracks. I linked to Pearl Blue Soul back before I learned how to actually embed the videos. Or maybe I just didn't want to embed four videos in one post, I can't remember exactly.

Why has nobody linked the Diablo OST yet? I mean, Diablo 2 OST was good, too, but Diablo 1 OST is pure gothic fantasy horror bliss. Every time you descend into a new area and hear the next track for the first time your mind starts to imagine all kinds of horrors potentially lurking in the dark.

The music for the Atari version of JSW was amazing. Strange that it was also exclusive to the worst version of the game.
It's surprisingly long too, goes on for about 5 minutes before it starts actually repeating. You'd think they would need the entire cartridge just for the music.

Don't think this has been mentioned yet. It's a surprisingly long track for something that only plays in one specific hallway you run through on your way to something else. Complete banger though.

If I stopped to think about every video game soundtrack I could post here I'd be here all week, so I'll just mention the Xenoblade soundtracks as a whole (1 and 2 primarily, I liked X's too but I recognize the style is not for everyone), as well as Octopath Traveler's as a whole. And the Super Mario Galaxies, but that's obvious  |

Guy above me gets it - the original Xenoblade Chronicles has one of the greatest soundtracks ever.
To fire off a few more - Sonic 2, Streets of Rage 2, Deadly Premonition, Hotline Miami, Grim Fandango and Super Mario Galaxy are all a worthy shout.

I'd do Xeno 1 and X over 2, personally. Take away the New LA tracks, and everything else holds up to Xeno 1's OST, IMO.
The Primordia theme stands up next to the Gaul Plains theme, and that's not even talking about things like the Noctilum or Sylvalum themes.

Inquisitor: As far as I'm concerned the soundtrack is much better than expected. And there are so many different tracks to create the right mood for everything. In town it even changes when the character is entering an important building.
