Nope. 100,000 did not die of covid. As reported they died within 28 days of a positive test "for any reason". So they tested positive and 28 days later they died of a heart attack they were already going to have for example. Or fell of a ladder, or had a car crash, or already had cancer etc etc. List is endless.

Use Positive tests as a metric then. It was escalating out of control

I don't have user Waynes talent for statistics, but the numbers are worrying at the moment. Every metric seems up week on week, hospitalisations seem to be growing which is the most worrying. Case rates remain about constant with peaks and troughs, but the worry there is that with so many new cases a day, vaccine resistant variants emerging become more of a possibility.

In terms of every metric that I can see, we are in a worse position than this time last year and September and colder weather has not hit yet. We have the vaccines but they could rapidly become irrelevant before we realise what's going on.

Before anyone starts, I'm drinking at home, alone and I tend to overthink things.

B: even if this was America, free speech as defined by the Constitution only means the government can't arrest you for the things that you say* Any private individual or company can kick you out of their house or ban you from their internet community if they so choose.
