Soooo...didn't answer the question at all. Classic politics and why I hate them.
Avoid, deflect, lie. First three words in the playbook.

The current Tory cabinet is a good demonstration of why inbreeding is a bad idea.

I see they’re saying there’s no secret plan to cancel Christmas like thats a good thing. I’d hope that the government would have contingencies for everything from kiss a stranger immediately right through to total lockdown just in case

Stupidity is the real universal constant. In the early days of the web I thought people being able to access all the knowledge of the world without effort would mean people would learn things they'd never have been able to before, optimistically bringing forth an information age that would make things better. The opposite has happened, the internet is a conduit of ignorance and division and possibly going to end civilisation not improve it. If the viruses or climate change doesn't kill it first. Like any tool, the internet itself is inherently neutral. It's just that the vast bulk of people are fucking morons.

Of course they bloody well have a plan C. They most likely have one for every letter of the alphabet. They just don't want to admit that a Christmas lockdown is a possibility after last year.

After last year when they abandoned the rules and killed a load more people?
Merry Christmas, you've killed your grandma!

So my 12 yo boy caught covid (probably at school), he tested positive yesterday morning and then we all went for PCR last night. Unsurprisingly he tested positive, he's got some cold like symptoms and is tired, but ok. I suspect we missed some symptoms between his -ve test on Sunday night and Wednesday morning Surprisingly I also tested positive - I had it last Christmas and I'm double vaccinated. I'm completely asymptomatic but I was in work on Tuesday and Wednesday (before I knew he'd tested positive). Even so I'm pretty sure I've followed guidance - if you're double vaxxed you don't have to isolate. Obviously I have to isolate now. It really sucks and I feel incredibly guilty. Hopefully the few people I was in contact with don't catch it

the UK is going to go on every other countries red list at this rate. You still get utter fucking chinless twats thinking is "all a scam" and refuse to wear a mask. One of the few people in my department didn't have a mask, I really doubt he is medical exemption, he looks and acts like a cunt. The thing is the company I work for is really good about saying you must wear a mask but no one to back it up if you decided to run about the office licking the lift buttons or people's faces

"We can't keep locking down and need to live with it. We have to protect the economy."
Mate at work genuinely parroting that bullshit. Couldn't face an argument and had to just walk away. Johnson, and by extension the government can do no wrong in his eyes.
And Johnson has an army of such people behind him. 🙁

I bet he is one of those people with mask below his nose or around his chin. If people didn't go around acting like bellends we wouldn't have all these rising cases

Meanwhile, Royal Cornwall Hospitals Trust have declared a critical incident status, services under extreme pressure with reports of queues of ambulances waiting at A&E and people calling 111 reporting requested Ambulances not arriving.
Doubtless, the first of many. It's going to be a tough winter for lots of folk, one suspects.

It's crazy how quickly the situation can change - a couple of weeks ago I would have said there is no chance of the government introducing any major restrictions again. But now that the headlines are focusing on covid so much again, feels like only a matter of time before they have to do something about it.

Yeah 9 hour wait at the Newcastle RVI now apparently. And we're still in October. And you got Rees Mogg going on TV to be smug about not wearing a mask. I genuinely would love to drive a bus through the Tory benches. Fucking useless scum every one of.

They will do something when the shit has it the fan and more people are ill or have died. its the boris way

Yeah that's true, and basically what I meant when I said only a matter of time. They should obviously have done something already, but will drag their heels until the situation inevitably becomes untenable.

Was on the tube today, about 50/50 mask wearing on the way in, little better on the way back but people are clearly happy to ignore the rules. Of course some of those may have had valid reasons, but it's funny how you often see groups of friends or families all not wearing them - wonder which is higher, the chance all of them have valid reasons or that they are all selfish idiots?
Most annoying was the group of four people sitting together without masks, all of whom were still in their London Underground uniforms!
I've avoided public transport as much as possible but had to use it a bit more recently and I'm finding it increasingly hard to just sit quietly at the state of it all.

Most people that say learn to live with it actually mean learn to ignore it and if that means people will die then so be it. They generally mean that the economy and doing what they like is more important to them.
That message can only change with a competent and well respected government pushing it.

Felt a bit self conscious wearing a mask today but I'm going to continue doing so if only as a statement that I think other people still should be

We've just back from hols in Fuerteventura and they were keen on mask wearing. Always had to have one on in the hotel, even round the pool unless you were on your sunbed/getting in pool. Lifeguard policed it pretty well too.
All shops required it and all bars/restaurants you had to wear one unless at your table and it was very well observed. Some restaurants even squirted you with hand gel as you entered rather than give a choice
Fuerteventura Airport checked everything going in and out, Vax status, locator form, etc. Fuck all once we arrived back in Manchester though, surprise surprise.
I did get a chuckle on departure when the 2 fuckwits in front of us had no proof of vax or negative test and were surprised when they weren't allowed to check in, despite their pleas. Got directed to a testing area which they'd need to pay for and wished luck that they'd stll make their flight 😂

Genuinely why are you posting that? I really don't get it. A guy quoting earlier vids I assume without context etc. Is it a joke thing or a response video?

People always looking to the state for help with everything despite paying taxes their whole working life.

Obviously one of those "I am getting old and don't get it things." It is just a guy repeating the same words. Also I don't recognise him. I will add that to "watching other people play games" to my confused but that is the world list.
