How far apart are boosters meant to be? I had my first booster in December, about two weeks from Christmas. We're almost at the six month mark. Is it time? Is it past time?

Thereβs not really a cadence yet. Most clinics arenβt taking general public for a second booster right now, CDC guidance is over 50s and immunocompromised.

Was hoping you'd see this, since you're an expert on the matter.
Was wondering because I've been considering traveling outside the country or at least out of state this summer. So I want to be responsible, but I wasn't sure about protocol.

I keep hearing June/July mentioned as a possible βboosters for allβ from the CDC, but I donβt think thereβs anything wrong with reaching out to your provider to see if thereβs anything they can do now. Itβs recommended protocol rather than mandated.

That sounds terrible, with no-one vaccinated and such allegedly poor levels of health care

I still haven't had it.
Symptomatic that is. I have every other bug that came home from nursery, but have tested negative every time.

Oh joy: Iβve tested positive today. Itβs my second bout, the first being last December.
Mrs. EMM tested positive (for the first time) on Tuesday, so itβs all her fault.
The ten year old remains negative thus far.
Bah!

More of a medical decision than a political one, it lets not worry about the details.

The only way we'll be in a scenario where everyone doesn't keep getting it again and again are with really extreme social control measures. Masks don't cut the mustard, the latest Omicron varients are even more infectious than the first.

Still, will never happen.

My friend tested positive last week. She caught it back in 2020 and ended up in hospital for 2 weeks, and spent months recovering.
This time she was absolutely fine and started testing negative after 5 days. I just thought that was interesting.

Mate of mine has been fucked with long covid for 2 years, was starting to properly improve then her booster made her symptoms worse again so she's assuming getting infected again will be the same so she's proper terrified. makes me look like a letitripdoorhandlelicker, drives from Switzerland to England as refuses to fly etc. Such a shame.

Still, will never happen. It won't ever happen. I don't want my kid to have to wear a ffp2 mask all day everyday at school. I don't want to wear one all day everyday in the office, in the pub etc. It "won't ever happen" not because of a lack of government policy, but because to be effective *enough* people (including kids) would need to be fully compliant more often than not...and very few would be. If people were bothered they would be wearing ffp2 masks today. It's not just governments who have moved on in their thinking y'know, we also have agency over our own decisions and risk. You're so 2020.
