Quite a few European countries charge for LFTs and it was always going to happen at some point. Plus they've likely run out of all the shit ones they were practically giving away to all types of sectors.

That leaked story has basically guaranteed it's gonna be fucking impossible to order any from here on in anyway. Every parasitic fucker will either be hoarding or stocking up to re-sell.
Fuck it, I've got like 23 or 24 boxes still under the stairs so hopefully enough to safely get through to the end of the Omicron peak at least (168 tests, 5/day gives me another 33 or so days I figure?).
Wouldn't be so paranoid but still getting daily nosebleeds from my first suspected Covid infection Dec 2020. All the other symptoms cleared other than the nosebleeds and I'm 99% sure my cum tastes a tiny bit different. More tart, hard to explain.

I can’t honestly tell if this is a bit or he actually is doing five tests a day.

That was definitely a bit... Wasn't it?
Tried ordering a fresh box a few times last week but no chance. I'll have to pop into our local pharmacy on my lunch break which will probably be a waste of time. What a load of shit.

Home order delivery capacity is more or less doubling next week, so try on Monday morning - before 8am is your best bet.

Plus they've likely run out of all the shit ones they were practically giving away to all types of sectors. But other countries haven't put everything behind this and sold it as a way of keeping people safe. Plus, I doubt they'd be sold as cheaply as other countries do. Tye whole thing will collapse imo. People just won't bother.

They are starting to push the narrative that it’s no worse than the flu quite hard now, which will discourage people from testing even more unless they have to.

If Omicron remains the dominant strain, that's probably not far from the truth. Annual vaccine, stay at home if unwell, otherwise crack on.

What we need to take from this is if you feel unwell - stay the fuck home. Stop giving everyone your germs.
And if you work a job that requires you to be out and about - wear a mask.

I’d have been happy to pay nhs prescription prices for a pack of testing kits, put some money back in the coffers. No chance I’m giving Alliance or Randox a tenner a week, which is what’s most likely going to happen

Had my moderna spikevax (what a name) booster yesterday morning. Took paracetamol every four hours or so afterwards and was feeling grand. Woke up around half 4 in the morning feverish and aching, took some more paracetamol then but didn't sleep great the rest of the night and still feeling washed out this morning. Hoping I get over it before too much longer.
Had Pfizer for the main vaccine back in June/July.

This morning, I feel a fair bit better, but nowhere near right. Bit fed up, really, as Thursday and Friday were the first two days I didn’t feel completely exhausted after my actual Covid bout in December, and then the booster descended upon me! Good luck.

Finally gonna get my booster on Saturday. Looks like it will be Pfizer. A bit surprising, because most people I know who got their booster received Moderna instead. Guess it didn't really mean anything.

The lady who gave me the booster said we were being given Moderna as it works better against omicron

Supposedly they've backed down on the free tests thing. Must have been putting the feelers out for public opinion.
Not that it's particularly relevant, I've been trying off and on for the last three days to order a pack and they're always out of stock.

They cost about 13 euros here for a test, BUT, you can only get a test from a pharmacy. None of this hoarding shit and creating an artificial economy of scarceness.

Given that quite a large percentage of the country can barely manage to pay their bills and put food on the table you would have to imagine that charging for tests would result in a lot of people never doing them.

Pretty much, but if they can't afford it they just need to text one of their pals and say they're having trouble decorating their living room.

I've seen so much of the "but they only cost x" shit lately. People have no fucking clue what it's like to be properly poor. But sure, someone using a foodbank from time to time will definitely spaff a fiver on a pack of tests.

Yeah but they spend all their money on mobile phones and flatscreen tvs. Ridiculous behaviour. They probably have John Lewis wallpaper too, the plebs.
