Credentials? Just look at the big wall of text, he clearly knows better than some silly quack.

What’s that dudes credentials, is he a doctor or researcher etc? Zero idea. Not sure it's relevant is it? His personal opinions are neither here nor there (like mine!), the idea is to go and read the studies / articles (they all list who worked on them and their qualifications).

With 70 tweets in a row I’m not sure anyone has the time to give that one a thorough discovery session.

It’s relevant when it’s presented as a public service announcement, he’s literally doing what anti-vaxxera do by cherry picking the research that matters to him and claiming it as proof he’s got everything right

I would honestly stop trawling Twitter looking for things to scare yourself with. Your head is literally trying to explode to make it stop.

This is very much leading to the point where you can't have a discussion without having to post a five page disclaimer. I don't believe I said that the guy was the gold standard on anything, just that he linked to some interesting studies on the topic. Would it be better (for future reference) to link to things directly so as to avoid the potential risk of linking to an asshat? Or in that case, do I just become the asshat? I would honestly stop trawling Twitter looking for things to scare yourself with. Your head is literally trying to explode to make it stop. Hilarious dig aside, we went over this. I can assure you I'm not reading any of those things thinking I have any of what they describe. Aside from some issues with fatigue and swelling I'm basically fine. Edit - ...and still in significantly better shape than most here.

Discussions of studies and things are fine, but linking to a seventy tweet long thread that contains dozens of different studies and a point that meanders and jumps around to different things, even if I wanted to delve into it I wouldn’t know where to even start or what the discussion point even is.

Well if you post something it does kinda come with the implication that you think it is valuable/trustworthy, otherwise why bother?
Posting stuff and then saying "hey I'm just saying it's interesting..." comes across very "just asking questions...".

That sort of thing is why I just don't get twitter and am bemused by the fact it is a thing, let alone as popular as it is. I can't think of a worse way to disseminate information, for fucks sake just link to an article or something. What is wrong with humanity when people think 70 small disparate sentences is an acceptable way to convey information?

Well if you post something it does kinda come with the implication that you think it is valuable/trustworthy, otherwise why bother? So that answers my question then I guess. I should post the aspects I believe directly, and then I can be attacked for my opinions rather than it happening by proxy! With that in mind: www.nature.com/articles/d41586-021-01693-6I have no reason to believe what's posted in this article is untrustworthy, and I find the investigation into mechanisms as to how COVID might have affected the brain to be of value given that "Brain Fog" seems to be a recurrent theme in discussions with people suffering long term COVID affects. I await complaints about my negativity etc etc etc. Yawn.

It did seem to be presented as 'this is why you should be scared of covid' rather than here is some important information about covid. Which would stop me reading it

The lockdowns in parts of Aus have been very strict with curfews, travel restrictions and some overzealous policing.
The idea of a high profile Anti-vax sports star breezing in to play tennis is absurd.

For utmost poetic effect surely he has to now catch Omicron whilst waiting around in the airport.

From his dad:
“This is not just a fight for Novak, but a fight for the whole world."
Pray for him, fontgeekers. Pray hard.

Seen the Serbian president weighing in as well. Honestly just shut the fuck up. Novak should be happy he hasn't caught the fucking virus and ended his carry. Moron.
