So about 4 years ago, at the lowest point in my life so far, I tried killing myself. Wasn't the typical 'cry for help' etc. Genuinely just broke and ended up taking a train to the South Coast where I planned on jumping off Beachy Head. The only thing that stopped me was someone figuring out something was wrong and phoning the police. Phone was traced, I was promptly hauled to a local psyche ward and then spent the next three months between two local to me. In the second ward, I met a guy who is in this film. www.imdb.com/title/tt2626964/Poor guy had severe psychosis. As a result of them not having the food he wanted, he proceeded to shit all over one of the bathtubs in protest. Oh and there was the guy who wanted to have an X-Ray to get hulk powers. He called me Parker as he thought I was Spider-Man. And I once spent a good few minutes staring bewildered at a guy having a conversation with a water fountain. Not sure if he thought it was a microphone or something. tl;dr I've spent time in a psychiatric ward. Genuinely hope none of you have or ever will do. |

Thanks guys. Yeah, I'm a lot better than I was. My depression has peaks and troughs but I haven't felt low for a while now. A lot of stuff had happened in a short space of time. My father passed and I ended a pretty toxic relationship where I was essentially a doormat.

Glad you're in a better place, Convercide. Another interesting story I have, but that is not directly involving me is how my nephew saved his family during the Grenfell disaster. They lived up on the 17th floor, my nephew, who was 9 at the time, spied flames licking up the building, woke up his mum and bought his family enough time to make it down and out of the building! Crazy shit |
