I don't think he's ever been a big Johnson fan, but when Tory MPs are posting stuff like this it does start to give a bit of hope the custard filled bin bag could be out soon. I fucking hate hope. The trouble with someone like him posting something like that, is that he'd have Truss, Francois, Rees-Mogg or Patel in as leader in a heartbeat. As in not just pathetically useless, but utterly supine to his 'spartans', as well

I read a scary stat, which is that before Blair only one Tory leader didn’t become PM, and since Blair all the leaders have done it (there were three during his reign).
It’s nuts how much the Tory party has dominated our politics.

Unsurprisingly the Met's conduct is going to be questioned later this week.

The Lib Dems have asked IOPC to investigate too.

Thank god. Hopefully we'll have another inquiry and clear this all up

But that will involve spending money to find out the truth. The Daily Mail won’t be happy with that

Sajid Javid's brother being a senior member of the Met and who oversaw the investigation is completely irrelevant I'm sure.
The whole situation stinks, the level of apparent corruption in the Met pretty much requires a root and branch clear out, it looks like the RUC for dodginess.

Again and again and again it's not the lie that causes shit it's the coverup of the lie. They will never learn but I think, I THINK they don't give a shit.

He's been put in his position precisely because of his lack of self-respect. No point expecting him (or any of the other morons) to grow a spine now.

Gah, this whole thing is going to revolve around "it wasn't real party, it was just a regular illegal gathering with merriment, jokes, drinks and snacks". IE it ain't a party unless a pig gets fucked.

It’s clear they were working because of the red box. What workplace didn’t have all the employees drinking, especially those lazy WFH fucks.

Depressingly my mum has bought into this belief that people WFH are being lazy and need to be sacked. She also said I had become "quite lefty".

Personally I'm working from home *and* I'm quite lazy, but I think I'm actually the exception to the general rule.

My mum gets more right with each passing day but thinks it is me going more left. She voted conservative in the local elections just now because of what Boris is doing for the Ukraine and couldn't understand my confused reaction to that, brushing it off as oh well...

Personally, I wouldn’t even consider working for a company whose office waste bins weren’t overflowing with bottles every morning from the previous night’s partying. Sounds like the insider Panorama is going to make things worse for the cabinet, too.

What exactly is Boris doing for Ukraine?
I mean, he went and glad handed Zelensky, made some vague promises about military supplies which one imagines are dependent on which of his mates/tory donors can get their hands on some cheap weapons… what else?
The way his supporters talk, you’d think he was manfully fighting off hordes of Red Army elites every day…
