Does Sunak's wife happen to run a 'specialist health and work professionals' company?

Jesus fucking Christ! So we've just gotten through an awful pandemic and gone straight into a cost of living crisis, which have both obviously massively taken their toll on people mentally.
"You're not really sick though, are you? Get back to work you fucking proles."
The sooner these cunts disappear the better.

Yes, the classic 'everyone is a malingerer'. These fucks would genuinely reintroduce serfdom if they could. Time to get the guillotines out.

So the same thing they did with disability assessments, where 80% of appeals were successful.

As someone with a brother who has chronic fatigue syndrome, I just think this is beyond abhorrent. I hope we look can one day look back at these Tory years and appreciate how atrocious they were.
General Election can’t happen soon enough.

It’s pretty classic. The country is burning and they are fiddling with punishing sick people. Just fuck off.
GMB have got Rod Stewart’s grandma on to give it the old ‘back in my day we worked with a broken neck’ again. He’s such a dickhead.

I'm assuming this needs legislative change. In which case, I wouldn't worry. It's just electioneering.

Electioneering for an election they know they're going to lose and refuse to call.

Yeah, anything crazy being talked about now is unlikely to actually happen. They are just desperate to claw back as many people as they can that are running over to Reform. They know they will lose the election, so it is just about trying to have a bad result instead of a disastrous-end-of-the-Tory-Party result.

Interested to see the actual charges, if the Procurator Fiscal goes for it.... Embezzlement is not theft, it's a funny one....you don't actually have to gain financially from it.

Just saying I won't be surprised if the charges don't live up to the billing! Eg spending of money raised for fighting a referendum campaign on fighting general elections. It can be hard to finance unexpected campaigns without serious backing from Russians, oil, private medicine, bookies etc

I've been appreciating how atrocious they are since they got in power. We don't need hindsight or any extra time to appreciate this. Morally bankrupt, political chancers with any moderates lost in the brexit wars.

Not breaking news: Sunak is a cunt, apparently doctors aren't the right people to determine if someone is physically or mentally well enough to work but some private contractor will be.
Fuck knows how much further this government can sink before it's finally election time.

Fuck knows how much further this government can sink before it's finally election time. Not saying all people are not legitimately getting sick notes but some of the ones I've received have been pretty poor and clearly have received barely any attention by the GP or not followed the guidelines - and that's for my own direct reports who I absolutely agreed (in my non healthcare professional opinion) needed to take time off!

And the timing with US States banning basic human rights like lunch breaks for minor workers in Louisiana or water breaks in Florida (Florida! Even Saudi Arabia has anti-high temp labour laws FFS!)...
The Tories and the GOP are reading from the same fucking book and copying each other's "how to fuck over the poors" homework

They have just gone back to the ‘benefits are a lifestyle choice’ well, which sounds even more ridiculous coming from the mouth of an actual billionaire

Either that or having the nous to steal party funds to pay off bad people. Or male prostitutes. Or both.
That's some proper bootstrap pulling.

Antisemitic false Rothschild quote cut from Liz Truss memoir
Well, I for one am shocked that... nope, can't get through that with a straight face.
Apparently the publisher, "will remove the quote from all future editions", but let's face it - the copies they've already printed are gonna be in a landfill by Xmas, so further print runs are beyond improbable.

I don't think Dorian Lynskey wants an editing credit for the book but he's the person who flagged it up, he read it for podcasting reasons (the latest "Oh God What Now?" has a lot about it) and is not exactly what you'd call complimentary about it. Strangely though he thinks the more personal stuff about how things affected her family, which is mentioned briefly, would make a much better read than the pile of shit insanity she did write.
