First world problem rant:
Managed to get a (legitimate) Ryzen 7 9800X3D from Amazon when it was in stock. Ordered the motherboard I wanted (B650M Aorus Elite AX) from Amazon as well, but it was on back order. Spotted it in stock on the Argos website of all places, ordered it with a nectar point discount and it arrived today. Came from a third party seller and they've sent the white version instead of black. It's now out of stock at Argos so can't have a replacement.
Thankfully I didn't cancel the Amazon order, but now I have to hang around until the middle of Dec minimum until I can install the CPU and I forked out more for the RAM (only a tenner or so) so it would arrive in the next couple of days. A*se.

I don't believe anybody who knows what it is, is going to fall for it. The people outside that bubble I feel have no interest in it to even want to order it. I can imagine the only people that will order it, know full well it's a scam and are trying some 'end run' around to try and force Amazon to make good on the purchase. Then again people voted for trump so I clearly have no grasp on the levels of stupid out there...

I had no choice but to retrieve my order directly from the warehouse as it seems like they were too lazy busy to deliver it to my home (I even tried to have it delivered to a local "Point Relais" but to no avail). Given how many people there were, I suppose I was far from the only one in this situation.
Regardless, I have finished assembling my setup and I had time to try Dragon Age (the Steam backup worked perfectly btw) yesterday evening, I was blown away by how smoothly it ran, I had not realized how badly my previous setup had aged until that moment.
As an unrelated aside, I was surprised by how many hoops you have to jump through in order to claim the "free" game that came with the graphics card, I really thought I would just get a Steam key.
My next step is to check with my isp if I can upgrade from my current 4G box to a 5G one, which, beyond having more download speed, would mean I no longer have to deal with a restrictive data cap.

You've just reminded me, I never did get my free copy of Watchdogs: Legion when I bought my 3080. Ridiculous situation where I couldn't claim it without proof of having the card in my hand, yet the "offer" expired during the nine month wait for the card to be delivered after the 3000 series launch day debacle.
