That must be a fairly new issue - I finished my playthrough at the end of December, and didn't encounter it at all. Has there been a new patch in the past three weeks?

Finished the main story last night. Loved every minute of it. Got a couple of things to find left on the map but I had done all the available side quests before going into the final mission and anything I could see to do (lighthouses and visible ?). Sure I will mop up the remainders and jump into the DLC.
Did the intro for the online stuff last night, looks like that could keep me entertained for a while too.
Not had any of the instruction popup issues.

It's always been beautiful. Does the PS5 version look noticeably better than the PS4 Pro version with unlocked framerate or is it a placebo effect?

It is a very good looking game. And as frog says, it does get easier once you skill up. Enjoying it a lot and very much taking my time, doing side missions etc so I don't get caught short.

I had 20-30 hours on PS4 Pro before switching to the PS5 for act 3 and Iki Island.
Yes, it looks much better. As everyone says it looked gorgeous anyway, but I think in this case Digital Foundry were doing the upgrade version a disservice when they said it wasn't much of an upgrade. It very clearly is. Yeah the opening scene with the boats and fires and stuff, and wait till you see the later areas with the fields of pampas grass, red flowers, cherry blossoms, snow etc.
Despite the faff with transferring saves etc, it's definitely a worthwhile upgrade.

Picked this up in the spring sale and grudgingly spent good money for the PS5 upgrade. I have turned into (more of) a bearded chin-strokey wanker- switching language to Japanese, and applying the 'Kurasawa' filter. Not too far in (trotting off to try and get my uncle from castle Canada or somewhere), but really enjoying it so far.

Shit the bed, I installed this after upgrading to Extra and it is easily one of the best games of the last few years.
Forgot how well made it is. The combat, the action, the feeling of power, the world, the graphics, all so damn good.
Goes to show, I tried playing HFW again and bounced off in minutes. It felt weak. Went to play Cyberpunk again, same, just not a great feeling. Even God of War I struggled for a second playthrough.
GoT is unreal. Never spent hours like this on revisiting a game.
