Yeah The Batman doesn't go on about the death just what they did/ might have done when alive.
Only thing they really added throughout was the gun that killed them being used to make the Bat Symbol on his chest.

I must have missed that little detail. I really need to re-watch it, I've had the BD for months now. When I saw it at the cinema, for some reason it cut out right at the end - when he's giving his little speech - so I've never actually seen the last five minutes of the film.
That was a very weird trip to the cinema, incidentally. The film ended about midnight and, like I say, just cut out randomly. The house lights came up, the couple of dozen people in the screening wandered into the foyer, and found it deserted. The doors were locked and only opened because somebody tried to get out the fire escape. Just a load of confused people walking into a car park at midnight wondering what the heck had just happened.

The one time it gets annoying is when they shoe horn in "maybe the Wayne's were baddies/evil/corrupt oooooooh" crap into a story. As the answer is inevitably no in the long run.
Especially when Bruce is right there doing questionable shit you could examine. Sins of the father stuff gets tedious fast.
More of a thing in the comics though.

When are we going to get the Calendar Man movie we all deserve?

Didn't like the Telltale games for this reason. It also bugged me when Spider-Man's parents were secret agents, or whatever that was (I forget the details). Things don't always have to be complicated conspiracies and not every minor side-character (especially dead ones!) has to be interesting.
And didn't Sean Gunn play Calendar Man in The Suicide Squad? Just a cameo, mind.

What the fuck?! The staff just left??? I guess you don't need someone operating the movie anymore as it's pretty automatic at this point but fuck that's some stupid shit right there but I guess the people working there aren't being paid enough to give a shit really.

^Sounds like the start of a horror movie.
I'll give The Batman a lot of credit, incidentally, for bringing his parents back into the story but in a more interesting way, certainly one not seen in live-action before, and really without Bruce seeming to be too bogged down by the trauma and grief of their murder. Zombie Waynes??
(I have not seen The Batman)

It was really weird, and I can imagine if you were alone or of a nervous disposition it would freak you the fuck out (well, I was alone I guess, but I'm also from Middlesbrough and so I'm Rock Hard). I don't know where the staff were, but I guess projection rooms are automated now and the kiosks had closed, so yeah, maybe they just buggered off. Somebody went into the staff room - I think one of the doors was unlocked - so I don't know if they found mangled remains or anything, I didn't stay around long enough to find out. It's one of those cinemas in a small leisure complex so we all went down three escalators surrounded by darkened restaurants, nobody speaking to each other but everyone really confused. I complained about it and got a full refund, which was quite nice as I'd forked out a little extra for the posh seats in the middle of the theatre, and stumped for a coffee as I wasn't sure I could keep awake for three hours that late at night (I might be Rock Hard but I'm also over 40 years old).

I'm sure I've mentioned it before, but my weirdest cinema trip was seeing There Will Be Blood. Right after Plainview says "I'm finished" at the very end of the film, the picture went slightly skewed and started to melt in the corner, slowly spreading across the picture.
We all thought it was part of the film initially, until it went on for an uncomfortably long time. Remains my preferred ending for the film.

I went to see The Exorcist at the local art house cinema one Halloween and the bulb blew on the projector just after the ‘help me’ scene.
They changed it out but a load of people left because nothing has ever felt so cursed.

A similar thing happened at the start of Crystal Skull but no one left as they didn't know of the horrors to come at that point.
Having said that, I secretly have been able to enjoy it as a fun romp on subsequent viewings.

We recently watched all four films with the kids in preparation of the new one, and my two found each one better than the last. Which - as someone who doesn't mind Crystal Skull either - is definitely the wrongest ranking of that franchise.
We're seeing Dial of Destiny on Friday so I'll let you know where they rank that one.
On the subject of weird things in the cinema, I was at the Cineworld at Ashton-Under-Lyne a few years ago - which is on an out-of-town retail park, near a big Ikea - and in the loo there was a bloke dressed as a hiker from central casting. Big hiking boots, big socks, khaki shorts and shirt, the whole deal. This was in the evening, mind you. I'm not sure he was watching a film, I think he was passing through on his way back to Jumanji.

The only thing Riddler’s Box sees is an image of a bat. He talks vaguely about his parents in reference to repressed memories when he’s talking with Chase, but it’s not exactly a major point and is more about Bruce opening up and trusting her.

To face ridicule for a moment, I think Forever is underrated. Ignoring that Tommy Lee Jones doesn’t give a shit, Two Face is basically Joker Mk 2 with zero nuance, and the frankly terrible casting of Chris O’Donnell, it struck a nice balance between dark and moody Bats and 60s Camp Bats, and Kilmer made a decent Bruce Wayne.

I had no issues with the campness, it's why I tolerate Batman and Robin but yes O'Donnell was a charisma vacuum but for me it was the beginning of everything feeling like it was to done to sell toys. As a kid I liked it for that but as a I've got older it's grated on me more.

I never forgave it for what it did to the car I loved that car! The Keatonmobile is the best, then the animated series, then Forever's. All in my opinion of course

It looks like a plastic toy. I'm not even sure they made a full size version, I think they just used a plastic toy and then greenscreened out the hand that was moving it around and muted the 'vroom' sound the kid was making. Keatonmobile / Animated Series = best.

This made me look it up. Yes, it was a real car and apparently turned up in The Drew Carey Show and Arthur.

Keatonmobile is the best live-action one, for sure, but I did really like R-Batz's car in The Batman. It looked the business but I also really love how Bruce just bought a car and strapped a rocket to it.
Also: shout out to the sixties one, no?

Thought The Batman's was a good choice as he is still very new to being Batman and also hasn't got connections like Fox yet.

That's one reason why I wasn't a massive fan of Bale's Batman. I know in the comics etc it's different, but my Batman ie Batman the Animated Series, and even Justice League and Justice League unlimited and the 90s movies he always did everything himself. He designed everything, built everything etc. His inventions/equipment/vehicles were an extention of himself and how his mind worked.
Him repainting a military vehicle as a Batmobile doesn't match that.
I'm aware my Batman knowledge, beyond (pun!) the basics, is severely limited but it's still MY Batman, and any Batman will always be held to those standards

Nolan was going for realism, but 20 years later it’s not so fantastical that Wayne could just get a really fantastic 3D printer put in his basement then manufacture whatever he wanted.

Was somewhat jarring

Give me Batman putting his mind and resources to tackling weirdos.

I could be wrong.
