Ignoring the dodgy CGI, and the fact Miller is a complete nutjob for a second, that looks kinda cool!

Looks like a lot of fun. First comic book movie trailer I've seen in a while that doesn't have me going through the motions to be quite honest.
Doesn't mean it'll be any good mind you, here's hoping.

Yeah it did look decent - I was pleasantly surprised about Zod as well.

Looks great.
Been more or less sitting on this film for 18 months though and making some last minute changes so hopefully not impacted it.
Did look like Pattersons Batman at one point but very likely Affleck who also seemed to be wearing an Adam West style suit at one point?

I presume this is the Supergirl that’s getting her own film in this? Not confirmed. Though Gunn has recently tweeted that he loves the film so maybe he will keep her on.

Gunn totally would've tweeted that the film is shit if it was, though.

It does look good but also very “Avengers End Game and No Way Home were great, let’s merge them” The effects look good but it doesn’t really look like anything. The trailer is just explosions and that picture of DiCaprio pointing at the screen.

Gunn totally would've tweeted that the film is shit if it was, though. I think his mate came right out and said the shitcanned Batgirl film was hot garbage. “Unreleasable.” I think the quote was.

It does look good but also very “Avengers End Game and No Way Home were great, let’s merge them” The irony is I think it's been in development longer than both of them. Certainly it was supposed to come out before 2023, even after all the director musical chairs kept delaying it. Also, it's not quite the Spiderverse reality-hopping thing I was expecting. It does appear to be a very loose adaptation of Flashpoint, in that Barry goes back to change the past but something cocks up and he returns in the "Rich Biff" version of the future (so to speak), where Zod has taken over the world, there are no metahumans (so I'm guessing the "other Barry" isn't the Flash), Supergirl is locked in a government lab (like Superman was in Flashpoint), and Batman is an old(er) guy. I don't think this is even really meant to be the Batman 1989 universe. So in that sense I will give it a pass for having a plot that appears at first to be quite similar to three of the biggest films of the last few years...

I think it was initially targeting 2021/22 release to fill the Marvel void.
I would suspect the film we're getting is somewhat different to what was finished back then.

Argh... that looks... er... waaay too much like Batman vs Superman / Justice League for my liking.
Not sure what I was expecting, but I guess it wasn't something as close to all the shit DC movies as that was.
Then again, Kara looked kinda cool and the best bit of the trailer was the Bur Burr Bu Burrr Keaton batman music bit.
I'll show the trailer to my kids, who don't know who Batflek or Zod or Keatonfleck are and see if they get excited. At least they'll know who Kara is.

No idea what Bill's kids are watching, obviously, but mine know Kara because she's in DC Super Hero Girls. Or maybe it could be from the live-action Supergirl TV show.

I realise Marvel have recent cinematic ownership of the multiverse concept, but in truth it’s DC’s thing. They introduced it in their comics over fifteen years before Marvel ripped it off. And it’s really Flash in particular that was heavily associated with it, so this film more than any other has permission to do the different versions of different characters thing.
I’m pretty sure Marvel land grabbed it for Spider-Man and Strange to ruin DC’s fun.

I'm completely out of the loop, but wasn't the Flash actor pretty much cancelled after various nefarious incidents? Or is all forgiven now?

Could just be till after the film is out and done with that they drop him or it's massive and the carry on with him. Gunn completely avoided it in the announcement video.

No idea what Bill's kids are watching, obviously, but mine know Kara because she's in DC Super Hero Girls. Or maybe it could be from the live-action Supergirl TV show. Yup. I mean, they technically know Zod from Superman 2, but I'm not sure how much they'll associate him with the dude in this. Main issue is they haven't seen any of the DCU movies except the wonderwoman ones, and they haven't seen any of the Keaton Batman movies. I may introduce them to the Keaton movies as I like them, despite #1 being a bit old, and #2 being a bit dark. But I don't hate them enough to introduce them to the DCU movies. I'm just wondering how many young people will have seen the Keaton movies, and how many non-snyder fans will even remember [looks up title of that superman movie with zod in it] Man of Steel.
