Norton did at least some mocap for Incredible Hulk, thereās a bunch of behind the scenes footage of it.
For the Eric Bana Hulk, Ang Lee did the mocap himself, and itās hilarious to see this little Taiwanese man going apeshit in lycra and ping pong balls in behind the scenes stuff.

And as tedious as this discussion is, plant me firmly in the āInfinity War Red Skull is an actor doing an impression of Hugo Weavingās Red Skullā. Even the actor playing him says it for fucks sake
And for what itās worth, after the Crispin Glover thing thereās specific Screen Actorās Guild legal stuff around using any kind of performance mimicking without the original actorās approval, so considering theyāre on record as saying theyāre explicitly mimicking not only Hugo Weavingās Red Skull but his acting in general, itās a fair bet to say they asked him beforehand, if not made some kind of small royalty deal for it.

Shazam was my favourite DCU movie so Iām not sure about this slight Snyderversey grimdark vibe thatās crept into this trailer. Feels like theyāve made a conscious effort to remove what made it fun and make it another cgi mess |

it would be interesting to see whether your take on it would stand up in court (were Weaving to sue as Glover did) or whether it would be thrown out for being apples and oranges fucking nonsense. It would likely depend on whether their legal team repeatedly changed the definition of an āappleā every time they responded to something. Didn't imagine Nick vs Aubergine as a courtroom drama, but it might work. Might see if Hugo Weaving wants to be the judge. |

I honestly donāt know if Iām excited for James Gunn to take over. Guardians was great. Peacemaker was great. Suicide Squad was better than the previous attempt but I wouldnāt call it good either.
So itās yet to be seen if his style works for every franchise.
But that said, apart from the first Wonder Woman movie, which was mostly a Cap 1 knock off, I wouldnāt call any of the post-Nolan DC films good either.
