TBH, I think they should probably just release it, before anything else happens.
I might watch it, as I'm a bit reluctant to boycott the entire movie, that I guess a lot of people worked hard on, just because of one guy.
Then again, I'm highly inconsistent with this kind of stuff, and there are definitely things that I've avoided just due to one person who worked on it. Mainly when they're Johnny Depp.
Not that I'm all that interested in the movie anyway.

Didn't they recast Johnny Depp in Harry potter over the stuff with Amber Heard? And the Fantastic Beasts franchise also stars Ezra Miller. It truly has an unforgivable curse on that series. I think the last film did end with the Ezra Miller character basically about to be written out, so I could see him disappearing between films (if there are any more). |

The Batman 2 reportedly in limbo now. Been a massive let down if that doesn't continue IMO. I dunno...first one didn't exactly live up to the promise. Everything was just sort of good. It was also far, far too long with only enough story for 2 hours. Dano was kind of underused and it wasn't his career best performance. Catwoman/ Falcone didn't really add much. Bruce was almost a non-entity. It was all just stuff that had been done better elsewhere but with Batman. If they'd cut Catwoman out of it, stuck to Riddler and focused on Batman becoming the symbol of fear to criminals/ hope to civilians (which they absolutely nailed) then it would have saved budget and probably done better. As it stands, it's just a bloated movie that sort of did alright but they don't see justifying a sequel. |

The new head from Discovery seems to really want to MCU it, despite them having failed at that once already, and their most successful films being the ones that stepped away from the snyderverse and did their own thing.
But he seems unable to resist the lure of the big MCU money.

Yeah, getting help is a good start but I don't like the implication that it's purely mental health to blame here, because there's also the strong possibility that he's a narcissistic douchebag and some people like to use 'mental health reasons' as a way of covering up their own awful personality and behaviour.

For anyone remotely interested, Shazam 2 and Aquaman 2 delayed to March 2023 and December 2023 respectively. Press release reasons are that Aquaman needs more VFX time, real reasons are that WB don't have the budget to release more than one DC film this year so it's only Black Adam this year.
