For anyone remotely interested, Shazam 2 and Aquaman 2 delayed to March 2023 and December 2023 respectively. Press release reasons are that Aquaman needs more VFX time, real reasons are that WB don't have the budget to release more than one DC film this year so it's only Black Adam this year. Good planning WB... since the rest of the year is filled with so many big movies... er... |

That’s the least difficult part of it. They could just a new film rebooting the DCEU without this film being the catalyst, in the same way they just released a Batman film that was nothing to do with it.

Dwayne's a promoter first and foremost. Also pretty sure Cavill's signed to his and his ex-wife's management company so it's in his best interest to put that out there, even if it's not in WB/DC's best interest.

Considering the insane task it had of doing big screen Superman after the Reeves films had made it so incredibly iconic, especially including Zod, I think it did ok. Cavill was great, Michael Shannon was clearly having a blast with it, but everything else was kind of shit and they went super overboard with the mass destruction.
