Looking forward to Reddit going all #justiceforezramiller My guess is that a few of those people might be conflicted by having to acknowledge Miller's gender identity (they/them)

I've no idea how it's going to relate to the wider DCEU (which presumably it is, with the whole "hierarchy of power" stuff) but I'm down with it. I think it's more that I like the Justice Society and love the thought of Pierce Brosnan as Dr Fate, than any of the actual Black Adam stuff. Also, with multiple heroes fighting in a team, it does stand a good chance of being a better Justice League movie than Justice League. Did you try Stargirl? You might well hate it. It's... interesting. Or you might like it. (Useful!) On the one hand it's very much a CW teen arrowverse show, but on the other hand it's just weird and has a somewhat infectious charm and disregard for what you think of it. That said, I only watched the first season.

I've hardly watched any of the CW shows because most of them are on Sky and I don't have Sky (or sub Now TV). Which is a shame, because I've enjoyed what I've seen of Arrow and Supergirl looks really fun.
I need Amazon or someone to buy Warner Bros really so I don't have to fork out for an extra sub.

I really liked the first 2 seasons of Arrow. 3 went a bit too Batman Begins rip off and I started losing interest in S4.
I won't be at all Surprised if The Flash goes straight to VOD but WB seem to just ignore everything Miller does while Ray Fisher was treated like shit then treated like more shit because he spoke out.

I read they looked into VOD it still wouldn't cover the cost of what they've spent on it. They're fucked. They're also not ignoring it, the new owners are trying what options are available and they look incredibly thin. It must be shit for all the actors and crew to put all this work into and have this absolute shitheel jeopardize it all.

Yeah, The Flash is a shitshow. No idea how they (WB) get themselves out of this. Miller is front and centre, plays multiple roles, and rumour is the film acts as a sort of soft reboot of the DCEU, explaining why Keaton is Batman, introducing Supergirl, etc. I personally was really excited for it, although for everything around it rather than Miller themselves.
Digitally recast? Expensive! Shove it on HBO? Won't make its money back! Release it anyway? Backlash! Bury it altogether? All of those things at once, plus potential audience confusion, plus possibly lawsuits, I dunno.
Like I said: shitshow.

Was his behaviour known before they started shooting? Fairly sure it was.

I think their behaviour was in the "oh that's a bit weird" territory, I don't think they were actually assaulting people at that point.

Wasn't there an incident in a supermarket a few years ago? Though, I guess covid means normal shooting schedules have been all over the piss.

Which is a shame, because I've enjoyed what I've seen of Arrow and Supergirl looks really fun. I need Amazon or someone to buy Warner Bros really so I don't have to fork out for an extra sub. Batwoman is on all4, but it's not the best. Arrow was good fun for the first few seasons, but it ended up getting a bit repetitive. Sounds like Flash was very similar. Supergirl was ok, though a bit more social-life focused iirc. The new Superman and Lois one is on BBC and supposed to be good. Legends of Tomorrow's first season was very hit or miss, but it sounds like they just went all out nuts with it in later seasons, so I keep meaning to go and check it out. I always liked White Canary. Stargirl feels a bit outside the regular CWU, and has a somewhat weird vibe. But it's still a teen show at heart. (I thought it was on Amazon, but not sure). Did I miss any? Er.. Oh, Black Lightning also seemed somewhat outside the CWU, though I think they all hooked up eventually. It felt slightly different and seemed promising, though I didn't stick with it long enough to find out. A bit like the MCU, it all got a bit overwhelming and I couldn't keep up with the whole thing. Stargirl is the main one with the Justice Society though.

He had a little incident with a female fan a couple years back but it was never confirmed if that was real or staged as he gently put her on the ground.

Erm, the LA Times article linked in that piece doesn't say anything about Ezra kidnapping the girl and them being on the run.
Like, the stuff known about Ezra is troubling enough, there's really no need to add fabricated tabloid shit onto it.

Yeah that I some serious clickbait title, it's essentially they're having trouble finding Miller to serve court papers.

I did try the Vanity Fair article but it looked to behind a paywall so just went for the most sensationalist headline going. I’m sure he’ll appear again in a flash.

God, the neckbeards and incels are going to go crazy when they hear it's set to be a musical.

A musical??I mean, I'll give them credit, that's a new take on Batman. If they add a Batman, who'd make a good choice in the Phoenixverse? Jackman seems like a good option since he's close in age to Phoenix and has excelled in musicals. Otherwise I'm thinking Jon Hamm, whom I'm not even certain can sing, but what can't he do?

They already had Bruce Wayne as a kid in Joker, so unless they go with a non-Bruce Bats the age gap is a problem.

That's a good point though. I guess they could age Phoenix up a little and get a younger Batman, but most young actors don't really have the confidence and gravitas for the role, and I don't see this crossing over with Pattinson at all.

"If a deal makes, Gaga would play Harley Quinn."
Is this some kind of Joker reference, or can the writer just not write English?
