I’m sure the authorities won’t need that once they find him, they’ll just be glad they’ve got him/them.

It's a bit annoying that "hey a celebrity deleted their insta" somehow counts as news now.

I mean the bit after that is pretty interesting and newsworthy. If it was just that they've deleted their insta account then I'd agree.
You can just picture the Warner execs sighing and necking a couple of painkillers for the permanent headache they've had recently.

Yeah, The Flash is a shitshow. No idea how they (WB) get themselves out of this. Miller is front and centre, plays multiple roles, and rumour is the film acts as a sort of soft reboot of the DCEU, explaining why Keaton is Batman, introducing Supergirl, etc. I personally was really excited for it, although for everything around it rather than Miller themselves. Digitally recast? Expensive! Shove it on HBO? Won't make its money back! Release it anyway? Backlash! Bury it altogether? All of those things at once, plus potential audience confusion, plus possibly lawsuits, I dunno. Like I said: shitshow. Issue a statement, release the film to cinemas (likely in the contracts), donate a portion of the proceeds to LGBTQ, grooming and indigenous charities. Everything moves on, hopefully including legal action against Ezra.

I just assumed the "legal action" thing was in response to... all the illegal things they did. Nfi what the studio could do, unless Miller broke a contract or something.

There's a prequel comic ahead of The Flash movie.
This is the variant cover the film's director made:
Needless to say, this variant cover is no longer being released

Jesus fucking christ, can this get any more mental? At this point, they need to seriously think about removing all of the non Flash scenes from the film and bodging together something without him in it that just puts across the gist of the plot?
Haven't they basically planned out their next 3-4 films based on this?

Seeing as the film is called...*checks notes*...The Flash, I think it's going to be a bit difficult for the film to make sense by removing Miller seeing as, you know, it's a film about...*checks notes*...The Flash.

They could buy the rights to Billy Whizz from the Beano and just do reshoots.

If the film sets up some other stuff though, they must be able to put something together with a cheaper actor that's a HBO max special?

If the film sets up some other stuff though, they must be able to put something together with a cheaper actor that's a HBO max special? I had thought that The Flash was supposed to work as a kind of soft reboot of the DCEU, replacing Affleck Batman with Keaton Batman and bringing Supergirl into the universe. However, they delayed the film till next year but are still planning to release Batgirl this year, and that has Keaton's Batman in it... so maybe they don't really care anymore? TBH the notion of "continuity" in the DCEU is so vague and woolly that it doesn't really matter much to me. There's not the overall throughline that exists in the MCU, which is generally fine as long as the individual films are good (and let's be honest, they've been hit and miss).
