Cowboy Bebop has been cancelled. I made it part way through episode 3 before I couldn't take any more. Thank F for that, bloody awful. I'm a huge fan of the anime and this was always going to be a let down I'm afraid. |

I've never seen the anime and so had no knowledge of the characters or preconceptions going into it. I'm quite enjoying it. The first episode felt a little lifeless with some weirdly slow editing, but it picks up after that and is pretty fun.

The two Christmas Chronicles films with Kurt Russell I enjoyed. They're on Netflix. I also have a soft spot for The Santa Clause, but it's showing it's age now (it I am). I think that's on Amazon. Don't watch A Castle for Christmas... I actually wasn't sure if people were saying it was actually good or bad previously, but I know now. Has Cary at least said "As you wish" I'd have forgiven the film. I think the saddest thing about the film was how Brooke Shields looks now... Actually, no, it's her acting. The film should be tossed into the Fire Swamp. |

I've always found it ironic that these movies are probably made by people with more money than God, but the plot is always "rich person gives up the rich life to settle down in a cute country town with a cute spouse, while learning the meaning of Christmas".

Robin Robin is excellent. Big second for that. Only issue is opening kids Netflix autoplays the preview for Paw Patrol (which is one of the absolute worst) and my kid loses all interest in anything else and will tantrum if we turn the shite dogs off. |

Along with the more obvious stuff like Its a wonderful life, Planes trains and automobiles the original Scrooge and How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Admittedly I am a RomCom fan but quite enjoyed Holidate last year on Netflix |

For the record the Lynch version of Dune is one of my all time favourite films so the idea that I can watch it without having to get the dvd down from the shelves in the back bedroom is a 10/10 from me.
