I like the way Jenna Ortega has become a remastered version of 90s goth girls. A drop in replacement for Christina Ricci, Wynonna Ryder, etc.. wouldn't be surprised to see her in new versions of Return to Oz, The Craft, etc..

Netflix have confirmed they're going to see 3 Body Problem through to the end commiting to "more episodes through to it's conclusion"
I thought the first season was flawed but enjoyable, but I'm definitely up for more of the same.

Netflix are filming something outside our office building in Woking this week, rumour on the local Facebook group is that it's The Sandman, though seems a bit late if it's out in August. They've renamed the cafe outside Lux Botanica, though can't think how that relates to The Sandman.
Another suggestion was that they're filming The Crown, but Pizza Express is over the other side of Woking...

Golden Kamuy 6/10 Apparently its the live action version of a long running Anime, one of many I have never heard of. It was ok if a little uneven, quite gory at times as well. Chapter 1, so more to come. Whether I will bother is in doubt.

Thought Scavengers Reign was fucking awful, it looks good and there's a lot of imagination in the Vesta flora and fauna, most of which makes absolutely no sense, unfortunately the writing is abysmal.
The characters blunder around a death world like they're on a trek in the Cotswolds, they're complete fucking idiots.

If you're enjoying Scavengers Reign it's worth checking out a series of graphic novels by a Brazilian/french author and Artist called Leo. Aldebaran, Antares, Betelegeuse. I got them from Amazon. Very similar kind of worlds but even stronger narratives.

Very similar kind of worlds but even stronger narratives. It’s in the same ballpark as the 2012 Prophet reboot, too, which was very good. |
