It's always fun to visit the clubs' respective forums after a game like that, to see what the more one-eyed supporters have to say.
For Quins fans, the game was lost when Smith was taken off for Ford (kind of agree); for Tigers fans, England were missing van Poortvliet and Steward (hard disagree, especially re the latter).
I don't get why Borthwick made some of the decisions he did, from starting Slade ahead of Lozowski to bringing Smith off when he was playing so well. Frankly baffling.

He made those decisions a week ago and is unable or unwilling to adapt on the fly

Taking Smith off was definitely the defining moment. But for a few inches it might not have been though.

You guys are probably more used to a full sports subscription but these things grind my gears a bit. Premier Sports for URC/Champions Cup is like £14 a month and I get a Glasgow and Edinburgh game every weekend ish. This and the Lions on Sky, I've got to pay £30 for a month and time it real carefully as I literally am only going to watch the Scotland games or test matches, as there's a limit to how much rugby I can watch without my wife getting annoyed. I know I've actually just paid like 20-25 quid to watch the Premier League for a month and I couldn't give a fuck. It's all on apps nowadays, give me a pass to just watch the rugby test matches and fuck off.

Piss takers.

Piss takers. That seems cheap. Is TNT a TV package? But yeah if it's all digital why can't I just buy an Autumn Nations pass basically. Or if someone just had all the rugby in one place. Except 6N and and WC which should stay terrestrial.

Yeah, it's Discovery+ via EE (so old school BT Sport, which has been rebranded as TNT Sport), which is why it's cheap. I think it's £30 otherwise, which I would not be paying.

We have absolutely shit the bed in letting Felix Jones go, however, we seem to trying to persist with the system and if and when we get it right, it will hopefully be a proper weapon amd a point of difference, but it has probably set us back by a year and he'll be sacked by then. NZ already had three matches to pick that apart and paid attention to changes in personnel and coaches to absolutely munch it.
The Argentina group match is having a horrible knock on effect. There was not a single DG attempt that was making a virtue out of a lost cause. If memory serves two of them were on penalty advantage, which is pure stupid and I absolutely will not believe that Marcus Smith(!!) would take that option unless coached into it. The final attempt was the biggest mess I've ever seen. The pass, the blockers, the forward running straight into Randall's passing line as he's ready. Just fucked.
We appear to have, once again, lost most of our desire to actually attack after the last two games of the 6n. Nice intercept try but literally no danger outside of that.
Still can't use our backs. Feels like the midfield is there for defence and everyone in the back 3 except IFW is there to chase kicks.
I'm totally unconvinced by the coaching. This team has more in it, a couple of players need to be replaced, retired or reminded (Earl was shit can we have Tom Willis please) but the gameplan is start of the 6n again
I'm not even gonna dignify the bench selection with a mention. Great players wasted.

Ireland were made to look quite average tonight from the bits I saw. Interesting.

Such a weird obsession with shoehorning as many fly halves on the pitch as possible

Smith was the only player that created anything. I think Ford is done and is only there because Stank Bumwind wants to kick, kick and drop goal. Most of our subs are average to terrible though.

I dunno about that, but I personally fucking hate it. The Boks turning the entire game into ALL FORWARDS is just shit. I don't watch the game for lardos hitting lardos for 80 mins, there's more to it.

Check the team sheet Danno, it's 7 backs and 1 forward.
