He's a famous musician, I don't think he has to choose just one of us.

Haha cool, I didn't know he'd done it already. He messaged me asking permission and I obviously said yes.
Pretty cool 😎

I just bought a different pickguard for a black bass I have, and looking at it now, it's completely reminding me of the demon ruins area in dark souls! Look at the 3 yellow dots near where the pickup goes. And it's got another circle of yellow near its 'head' like it's got a balrog styled whip too. And the background just looks like demon ruins! 17 quid, well happy! I'll have to call this my dark souls bass. Maybe have a praise the sun sticker somewhere too. photos.app.goo.gl/LD1rATFpbBzwWpQ2A

And it's on now. I'm liking the look of this dark souls bass. I'll have to pimp it further. Also, that's a squier affinity jazz bass. It's got a beautiful neck with a smooth as fuck satin finish and it sounds really nice. 250 quid! photos.app.goo.gl/17z4f3tvkWRarU4K8

Wish I'd have bought that first. Probably would have just stayed with it and not spunked loads of money up the wall on other basses!

Wish I'd have bought that first. Probably would have just stayed with it and not spunked loads of money up the wall on other basses! Ha that’s the thing isn’t it. If it plays well and sounds good. That’s all that matters! Not sure I even remember how to play mine now. Not touched one in a year.

I've not played for 2 weeks because I've fucked my knee and ankle temporarily and haven't made band practice, but it's all coming back nicely and I'm sure you'd be the same

I’d probably be better using my knees and ankles.

Forgotten what it's like with new strings. Christ, they're a bit lively! Calm down you twats.

So I went upstairs last night. I then turned on my mac. I then picked up something called a "base geetar" and played it...
The fucking rush. I haven't touched anything in nearly a year - the longest time in nearly forever. I started a new tune. Recorded a couple of rythmn guitar parts, a lead, the bass and then knocked out a basic four on the floor drum track on the electric kit. It all felt so fucking good. I REALLY needed that. Awesome.

Sweet man I'll listen on the way home. It does feel nice to get stuck into something. I don't think mine's good enough to bother continuing with but I'm in the mood now, so I'll probably start another one later!

Haha cheers. Its a little ditty but I'm starting to get my head around it now. Need to put some lead on it or make a chorus or something.
Probably end up leaving it and starting something else as per usual

I want to make something that's a cross between system shock 2 and something John carpenter would make as a film track

Just feels nice to do a bit of music again tbh. I've missed it.
