@wuntyate If you're looking for another soldering project after your recent soundbar success: www.jedspeds.co.uk/The beginner kits are only £25-£30 so not a huge outlay if you mess up (even then, short of snapping the PCB in half any cockups would be cheap to sort out)

Time to get back in the swing of things I guess, my band was booked for a gig this summer, opening for Gatecreeper. Should be a brutal evening! Also, never enough pedals and I always wanted a big muff type pedal, so I ordered a Gojira Drone Muff ( gojira.co.uk/product/gojirarussianfuzz/ ). Looking forward to playing around with that!

Danno That's not a bad idea you know... I'll check out that site. Sadly I sold all my pedals, having no need for them. Ended up buying a load of cheap noise suppressors and tube screamer copies etc last year when we were going to go live but the fact there's no fucking drummers anywhere means that's not going to happen in the immediate future!

You know what's going to happen don't you. You're going to need to buy a second board.

Enjoy playing it. We recorded my bass to one of the heavier tracks last night so will get that uploaded when we can

Wunty, you remember when you said there were too many knobs to twiddle on that synth the other week? Well look at this one in front of the monitor photos.app.goo.gl/XeDBadmrwypePwcJ9

Yeah the semi modular ones are really good fun. I've got a couple of the band tracks up, but I just play bass guitar and a bit of synths. I keep meaning to record the synths but I just get carried away and forget. But yeah I just piss around with synths and bass at home. Or the piano. It's funny, pretty much all my home made music comes from the piano first, and then I transpose it onto the synths and put some bass on it + drums etc. No matter what synth I get, there's still something magic about my dad's piano, bless his soul photos.app.goo.gl/jdBNWD76mDQKyXFd6Here's the band stuff youtu.be/Xe83Ggmcgk0youtu.be/R9NN8NGF3OU

Percussionist crotch shot in the beginning is pretty poggers I hope you can get a studio session in, I think you guys sound great but you need a proper recording and mix to really shine.

Yeah, that's just a pub gig so we're at the mercy of the venue. If you listen to the Space Opera single I've just posted, it has a little more production on it. Just takes an age to do them all

I'm thinking of trading in my strat.
For context, I haven't played in 6 years, just getting back into it. I have a strat, and I have an SG Special in C standard. Played the strat for what, 4 hours over the last week. Bit annoyed, every time. Picked up my SG and it's just comfy. Despite needing a lot more of experience with the adjusted fretboard because of the tuning and the different feel because gauges.
I'm a short scale boi I guess. Plus that body that just gets in the bloody way half the time.
Definitely want a different E guitar, a strat just isn't nice to play for me.

Ah, I naively assumed that a basement had no other means of entry/exit.

I don’t think I’ve ever come across anybody that thinks a strat is uncomfortable to play. I thought it was universally accepted as pretty much perfect in that regards.

It might be largely down to me being shit, but feeling slightly less shit on the SG. I'll hold onto it for now

I’m much more at home on a 24 3/4” scale neck, keep feeling like my fingers are never quite in the right place on Fenders. Unless I really need that tele jangle I’ll nearly always pick up my Gibson
