elstoof definitely crackly no matter which pickup! Do you anchor a finger on the pickguard when playing? I’m not really familiar with fender offsets bit i think they have a metal shield under the guard like a strat, with a bit of wire jammed up to the bridge. Maybe that’s a bit loose or is getting wiggled with contact on the guard? |

elstoof no I don't anchor any fingers. It's so strange. Sometimes it's hardly there and then all of a sudden it is, really pronounced. I may take all the strings off at the weekend and have a better look at everything. See if I can get some pics.

Danno I wish I owned it and could really customise it but hey ho. We've lived here 10 years and I'm so used to having this space. I would literally be a shrivelled up husk wihtout it.

This board is partially cannibalised from the one I use for my band. That's an eight piece group so stage space is tight - so I use a Pedaltrain Nano for that, which the wah is a perfect fit for. That's a soul band so I don't really need a lot of effects, it's just gain, compression, boost, wah and tuner. It's a better sounding wah than the standard Crybaby, with three voicings, IMO a much nicer sweep, and doesn't suffer (as much) from the 'hard as balls to engage or disengage/sticky switch' thing as the full size. Also true bypass. After getting used to it I prefer this size and even on this bigger board it means I can stick a pedal above it. As to your other Q, these pedals are still stuck on with the usual hook and loop tape, I just used smaller pieces as the finish of the board is so nice (Fender Professional, they are quite new). As such I could swap stuff about to an extent but they don't pop on and off on latches or anything. This is more or less finished from my perspective anyway, although I wouldn't mind an envelope filter down the line. Think I will swap the tuner later for the newer Polytune with the buffer built in as there is some tone suck through this. That's why the tuner is placed after the fuzz with that plan in mind. |

Mainly because my house isn't big enough to do it.

I have christened the LP by learning to play some scales and some Social Distortion riffs, even though it's not a Gold Top like Mr Ness plays. |
