I just keep adding a bit of wood to those signs until it fucking stays up. It's usually the entire supply all shoddily glued together into a monstrosity, while he's wondering how the hell it's staying put. It's because there isn't physically any room for it to go anymore mate!

There was one that had me fannying around for ages, then I noticed there was a little square bracket on the back of his sign that I just had to slide a wooden pole through and job done... wondered since then how many other ones had easy solutions like that that I just missed, and ended up building some monstrosity to hold it up from underneath each time!

Usually there's a conveniently placed hole* for you to stick the wood into, them you just connect something to that to keep it steady. Alternatively, you could always cheese it and stick an activated hover stone under the sign to hold it up (optionally with some additional attachments to prevent it from tipping sideways) *on the sign

Spent ages last night feeding a dog to make it like me. It still won't follow me into a cave to show me the treasure chest. Greedy fucker I had to give about 15 pieces of meat to it, but it was finally full and lead me to the chest.

Kicking myself for not doing the master sword quest straight after the dragon tears quest when it was right bloody there! The phantom Ganon fight looks like absolute bullshit.

What’s the dragon tears quest? I got the master sword, but don’t remember that quest.

The 12 geoglyphs one. The dragon just rocks up when you do the last one, so a clever person would've jumped in the nearby skyview tower and landed on him. I just wandered off and did something else

Oooooh. Haha. I’m on like 5 Glyphs. But now you mention it I do remember chasing one of them for a quest. It must of been about a hundred hours ago! Haha

Not necessarily, I do remember a few where you had to brute force it (and I didn't do even close to all of them I don't think, so there's probably more). There's one in particular I can recall where all you have to work with is big rocks and logs, and nothing special on the sign. I got pretty close to just cheesing that one

The answer is almost all of them. Even the ones on inclines tend to have a pre built piece to create a level structure.

Just did this one yesterday myself and that dog ate more than it's entire mass several times over before he followed me.

Haha, I've done one where I just slotted a single piece in within a few seconds of looking at it and it worked. The rest have been absolute abominations.
I kind of enjoy over engineering solutions in this more than finding the simple way.

I tend to not want to repeat it so I usually go with a large flat piece and one or two support beams (depending on the sign), usually gets the job done. H and T shapes for the win!
It's strangely satisfying for such a small little activity

Pisses me off when you get it wrong and have to spend even longer shaking apart your old construction.

Somebody complained about having to waggle the stick to shake things apart, but you can also shake the controller the achieve the same thing and it’s quicker.

I do wish the waggle wasn't such a vigorous move to make it break apart. I feel like a right idiot waggling away next to my missus on the sofa.

I think only one of those signs has required more than a couple of tweaks to whatever shape I originally created. Normally it's just a L shape, possibly with a counter balance, wedged in at the right angle.

Feels like I'm putting a heck of a lot more effort into cheesing the master sword quest than it would be to just suck it up and finish the fight. I had one stab at it and just noped straight out of it. Multiple gloom hands in an enclosed space? And that's before you've even had to deal with phantom Ganon... Fuck that noise! Apparently you can cheese it a bit by planting a stake and a platform in the wall to get safely out of reach of everything, but I seem to get swarmed before I have a chance. I'm currently perched on Valor island waiting for the light dragon to make his way around the map again. He's still too high up for reach via skyview towers. I absolutely love most of this game, apart from the bloody combat!

For that battle I ascended up those 2 mushroomy platforms in one corner, jumped down and slow mo shot them over and over with bomb arrows. Same for what comes next, although he did morph up to one of the platforms on one of my early attempts, which is no buenos.

This end section sounds really shit.
I'm still at my first temple, the one in the sky with the annoying wind boy.

Got the master sword eventually and I've now maxed out the cooked meals I can carry, so guess it's on to the final section now.

Definitely worth upgrading armour. I've got the deity set fully upgraded now but even on the second and third upgrade it was absorbing so much damage. I find I don't need food much anymore but I was finding things quite frustrating at times before the upgrades. Fighting the hands a good example.

Definitely upgrade something so you have 24-36 defence. And make sure you have gloom food from the sundilions plant. About 15 hearts should do it. And the master sword as it doesn’t seem to break during the final fight. Stock up on arrows and bombs as well

Yeah, I cooked a shitload of gloom food. Currently have 0 bombs though, so I might have to head back and farm those for a bit.
Is midnas helm worth equipping or just focus on getting a set upgraded?

Lynels and their stupid rare guts can piss right off. Think I've offed 10 of them now, and save spammed one of them multiple times on top of that, but haven't had a single drop.
On the plus side it's actually warming me up to the combat quite a bit (as did the Hinok hunts beforehand). It's bloody satisfying when you take off a full health bar with a single charge spin attack with a fused weapon. Especially funny when you keep circling behind them when they try to face you.

I do love the combat. Defeating your first of the bigger enemies is always satisfying, but learning how to beat them quickly and efficiently is even better.
