Has anyone started Y yet? Not yet but I loved the comic series. Just feel this may have come 10 years too late. Looks very walking dead I’m halfway through the first episode and so far it is very, very slow. I quite like slow burn shows but it’s a bit boring so far. I’ll give it a couple of episodes at least. |

It's The LEGO Movie crossed with Ready Player One. Perfectly enjoyable to kill a couple of hours but it's not going to be top of your list for 2021 movies.

My wife and eldest really enjoyed it - as long as you remember that it's a film aimed at 12 year old boys. That's about our level, so that's tonights viewing sorted. Our daughter is visiting for a few days from tomorrow so we'll have to watch the shit she usually watches, and as she's a po faced c**t it will be all worthy and thought provoking boring shit. Apparently farts stop being funny when you've got a phd. |

Same old story told the world over, child educated up the wazoo, gets phd and becomes university lecturer who is then embarrassed by her poorly educated working class parents who left school at 16 and thinks she's better than them. Which she is and that's all anyone really wants for their kids so it's all good. She is a miserable cow sometimes though.

I'm the first person in my family to go to university and I pretty much only watch something if it's connected to the MCU, so maybe none of that education actually stuck. On the other hand, my wife has two master's degrees and is currently binging My Family on iPlayer, so god knows what's going on in our house. |

My dad was very good at mathematics and could have gone to uni but back in the late ‘40’s it wasn’t feasible. Don’t think I appreciated the change at the time. |

My kids from my first marriage were similar when they went to uni. In the end, one dropped out of Uni and the other was kicked out.
I'm stil the only person in our family to have got a degree and mine was OU. My family couldn't afford to support me through college, never mind university, so I left with a handful of O levels.
Also, I'm amazed Free Guy is free on Disney+. It's still in cinemas in the UK.

Its about 15 years which is edging towards Tom 'Wooderson' Cruise territory. I think I also found it more pronounced than usual because the last thing I saw his not-quite love rival in was as the babysitter in stranger things.

Initially, maybe. The character had just graduated in the most recent one so that would put him like 18-19? Thats near Macchio levels of playing down.
(and has also got quite the age gap in cobra kai if you think about it him nailing Sheldons sister)
