Banshees of Inisheren already? Really? Wow. There's some xmas holiday viewing along with Prey then. I initially felt Disney+ would be a drop and occsionally pick up sub, but I think Netflix might be heading that way now. D+ seem to be getting a lot more interesting films etc that might make it worth holding on for.
Along with the Andor/Mando childhood dreams stuff.

Crikey that was quick, doesn't seem that long since I saw it at the cinema. It's very good but it's certainly not In Bruges 2.

Willow would be infinitely better without er Willow. Warwick Davis acting is genuinely shockingly bad and it takes me out of every scene he speaks in.
The other characters are good though, especially Borman.
Watched Barbarian recently and thought it was excellent. D+ also has The Night House if you still crave low budget but good horror.
And yeah The Bear is fantastic. That monologue in the final episode is just superb. Would easily be my favourite TV show of 2022 if Andor didn’t exist.

If you like horror, The Empty Man is excellent.

Has anyone seen any word on when we’ll get season 2 of Reservation Dogs over here?
I’m sure its aired in the States already but there have been a few series that they’ve uploaded with zero fanfare and I almost missed entirely

The film is good, the food is terrible.
Seems like only five minutes since I saw it at the cinema.

Also recommend The Menu. One of my favourite films of the year.

Definitely recommend 'The Menu'. Saw it as a birthday treat last week and thought it was very good indeed.
Similar prodding at the absurdity of folk with penchant for throwing cash at the latest must-see/do as 'Triangle of Sadness' but I preferred this.

Wasn't much of a fan. It wasn't as clever as it thought it was. It felt like a fan edit from someone who didn't like the original twist. Bluey is great. Especially getting post spoilers, where my six year old nephew explains to me what has just happened after I have watched it.

It’s cool that True Lies has turned up. Hopefully The Abyss isn’t too far off.

I think the abyss was the next cab off the rank for a 4K release this year, so we might finally get it on a streaming service. Apparently cameron wants to sign off and QA all releases of his movies and since he is currently living on Pandora, he just hasnt had time to sign off the 4K remasters.
Shame, really. His body of work is a big gap. Its insane that its taken this long (and counting) to get a 4k of the original avatar.

Yeah. My Apple TV copy of Alien is 4K and Aliens is stuck rigidly to just being in HD.

The Abyss is supposedly getting a 4k BD release by March, so fingers crossed that transfer ends up on streaming too. I'm well overdue a rewatch!
