If you’ve not seen it I’d recommend the Steve Martin & Martin Short Netflix special. Their onstage persona are very like their OMITB ones and its very funny. They’re a real class act.

I may have written this before, but I spent about ten years thinking that Martin Short was dead, that I had seen one of those career retrospectives they do when an entertainer dies, absolutely no doubt in my mind that he was completely dead.
Then one night I was watching Letterman and they said Martin Short was a guest, and I was like… what? Then Letterman kept saying Martin Short was coming on (he’d do that at ten ad breaks before the guest ever came out) and I was thinking “Wow, this is in REALLY bad taste, even for Letterman.”
Then this guy comes out acting like he’s meant to be Martin Short, but quite old. And I really had to sit there watching for a while before the idea even struck me that this might, even actually, BE Martin Short.
I’m still not convinced I haven’t jumped time streams to a dimension where he somehow isn’t dead.

Light & Magic, the six part doc on ILM, is very good so far. Lots of footage and behind scenes stuff this SW geek has never seen before
Also interesting that all the SW footage is from a completely untouched up source

I have to agree. Light & Magic (only 2 episodes in so far) is very good. I’ve seen a fair bit of the Star Wars artwork before, but never the background stuff on ILM.

Got to be honest, I'd love that and would actually buy a VR headset just for that. Space Mountain, the Star Wars ride and even the stage show thing where you sit would be great. Bring it on. |
