Lance Stroll is 35th on the list of all time number of F1 starts. Not sure what my point is, other than its mildly amusing. where is he on the list of people finishing races?

Looking at his Wikipedia entry it's clear that he hit his peak in European Formula 3, 30 starts, 14 wins it's a good record, other than that fuck all really. Maybe he should go back? Even that's got a bit of a cloud over it. His dad supported him by essentially buying the whole Prema team (who were the best) and contracting his teammates. Lance still had to deliver decent pace but essentially the only two drivers with a car that was equally well prepared weren't allowed to beat him. He got the job done but that job was made far easier than 'normal' by having the best team configured solely for his personal glory. That's ultimately the first time many people became aware of the Strolls and they didn't make a great first impression.

You’re all just being mean. Stroll hasn’t even got as many licence points as multiple world champion Alonso.

That's ultimately the money=performance motorsport problem that's not exclusive to Lance. To be fair to him there have been many rich kids who were exposed as no where near good enough (e.g. Mahaveer Ragunathan) so he must have very good ability relative to general population.
Being a Ferrari academy junior also sounds impressive until you realise his dad was a top customer of theirs having raced Ferrari GTs as an amateur in the 90s.
If Lance was a genuine elite potential talent Ferrari would've surely tried harder to keep him. I don't think they were ever seriously considering him for F1. When Williams came along needing money and offering seat team in return they essentially just shrugged.

Well I did say that appointing Ben Sulayem as head of the FIA was a monumental mistake and would only lead to problems.
All these people leaving the FIA, it gives the impression that he’s impossible to work with because he’s a peacock who holds petty personal grudges.
