Isn't this good for Lando and George? They aren't an SC pitstop behind the leaders.

They have tread and those who have stayed out don't.

Yeah, without a red flag I think it will have worked out ok.

Although don’t these inters last forever as long as it’s wet? Not 100% sure why they needed to pit.

That pitting has got even worse now.

That’s pretty impressive under a safety car.

It was actually good without that crash. It's supposed to dry out again soon so seems like they were on the right tyre for the resumption.
Genuinely that's probably the race. Kind of the mirror of luck in qualifying.
On balance you'd rather have the luck when the points are awarded!

Who would be a race strategy director eh?!

Is there something in the Williams no2 driver contracts that requires them to stop the race on a regular basis?
Latifi, Sargeant and now Colapinto. It's becoming a tradition.

Max is going to win this, isn't he? Either that or Ocon drives him off the track.

I think our best hope is Esteban just being himself against Max.

Who would be a race strategy director eh?! Wonder if Horner is still complaining.

At this point one has to assume McLaren just don't want to win anything

I don't think you can be too harsh on McLaren. If Colapinto hadn't crashed they'd have played a blinder. It's stopped raining so he was on the right tyres and those ahead would've been sitting ducks after an SC and forced to pit and drop back. You can't really expect them to plan for drivers to crash whilst not under racing conditions.

Oh good. A lame ass rolling start.

Probably better for Ocon.

Ocon nailed that start. Bravo.

This is amazing from Ocon. I don't think he'll be able to keep it up as it drys but right now he's rapid.

Norris, fast but not consistent enough I’m afraid.

Post by muddyfunster on Nov 3, 2024 17:21:32 GMT
Well that's about as bad as possible. Let's hope for another safety car!

Oh well it was nice while it lasted that someone but Verstappen wasn't going to win this.
The weather still probably has a role to play though.
