Honestly American sports just suck arse. AF is 3 hours of analysis occasionally interspersed with about 20 minutes of actual play, Baseball is big boy rounders with more more more stats, Basketball I already bitched about and ice hockey is less entertaining than field hockey.

Apparently the first hold for the bouldering final was too high for the little Japanese lady (who is 20 but looks about 12).
Seems rather unfair and cruel.

I don’t think any American sport can stand up to football or rugby, but it has a different context and as much of it seems to be about the atmosphere and experience as the sport. I did watch half an hour of Super Bowl this year and it is quite easy to get swept along by it to be honest, it’s just on too late. But for me watching something like that is like watching a theme park presentation of Americana rather than watching sport.
I remember seeing the Manchester Giants (basketball) live as a kid and not really following it. Watched Serbia v Germany the other day and enjoyed it moderately tbh. Basketball as well is a sport that is fun to play too, even if that’s not translating to viewing for you.

Basketball is definitely my favourite sport. I enjoy rugby too.
I wouldn't say one sport is better than another, it's all personal preference innit.

I find the Fred Sirieix 'candid' moments where he comforts his daughter on-camera for BBC TikTok likes pretty cringeworthy. If it was like one of the regular pundits and their child, I'd be more inclined to find it sincere and affecting, but having seen a celebrity chef do this a few times now, it feels a bit like a structured-reality show.

It was close but missed lay ups, airballs and easy turn overs. Maybe one 3 in the whole game.
Women's volleyball great, Rugby 7's(in my top 3 events) athletics, climbing, shooting, archery all awesome.
The basketball though, weird choice to finish on IMO.
