I know judging for Olympic games boxing is notoriously shite/corrupt but this games has taken it to another level.
Richardson could have knocked out the other fella in the last round and still lost.

She won her heat and qualified for the final, right?
She did indeed. Up against World No 1 in the final though - gonna be a great race. You're gonna end up on a list dude

Really sad that the not-really-Brit missed her silver. Phenomenal that these literal kids are risking their necks like this and at the Olympics no less. And in contrast to some of the slapped arse faces I saw at the gymnastics, they are properly happy for each other. Really enjoyed that. True. Japan yet again being ridiculously unexpectedly good at girls skating, since the top 3 were all half or fully Japanese.

That running event where the NPC’s are glitched into using the walking animation is on guys.

Bit late but Vodafone have a 6 month free Discovery+ trial on the app. Auto-renews at £3.99 thereafter.

Imagine devoting your life to walking fast. Of all the ways to go fast, you choose... Walking.

The grizzledness levels have really increased dramatically now all these aging millenials and gen-Xers are out skating in the men’s competition. Some tremendous runs so far too.

Equally thinking why? while having respect for Dallas (SA), 49 year old male skateboarder mixing it up with the kids in the concrete bowl!

Apparently our 5000m runner George Mills called his French rival who pushed him over a "fucking clown"

Well that dingy race sucked.
I can never bring myself to be totally pleased for an Australian sportsman, though he clearly deserved it. Think it's growing up in the 90s. They've been far too medal efficient in this games for my liking. Starting to worry we might have pretend the American way of doing the medal table is correct.

Though I did think it was funny that when the US finally moved into first place, they had nothing to report as they'd been pretending to be in first place for weeks

I'm guessing the skateboarding rules are set by some skateboarding governing body but honestly it seems a bit brutal the way the runs end if they come off the board, I feel like it'd be better if they just had a minor penalty and keep going.

I think by the time most of them came off they'd use up so much time to get back up to speed there's not much point continuing, having an entire run trashed at the start must be so depressing.

Plus it wouldn't be half as tense as a result. Much better with everything on a knife edge I reckon.

It really would be sick if they allowed half-pipe as a discipline next time

Pole Vaulting seems to operate a “no fuglies allowed” policy.
