At my folks, so watching the BBC coverage. All this twatting about, flicking between sports rather than just being able to watch an event, because GB have a slight chance of bronze in equestrian nerf ball, is really fucking annoying.

It is slightly incongruous to see athletes compete in events where a medal can guarantee your sport’s funding for the next few years, and pro tennis, golf, footballers etc who are worth hundreds of millions out for a jolly to add a bit of bling to the trophy cabinet

I actually thought Alcaraz was slightly better player through the sets, but he couldn't convert at the right moments. Neither of them could and Djokcunt played some blinding shots in the tie breaks. Fair play to the kunt. |

I have discovery plus with my Sky account, but every time I try and watch a stream on the sky q box it says I need to upgrade my account. I have no idea what the problem is and it looks like a common problem that Sky don't seem to acknowledge exists. If I use discovery plus on my phone using the account I have via my sky account it's fine, I've been using it at work fine too, it's just the sky box. Pretty annoying.

Also the IOC have dubbed the Olympic set-up “sport climbing” which is already the name of a different climbing discipline which has been established for decades. Adventure and extreme sports being brought into the establishment is interesting to me in general. Skateboard, BMX, Surfing, Climbing etc have all thrived and grown at various times because they were outsider pursuits and now there’s subsidies and funding attached to some athletes and some interesting growing pains and Creme Brulee-ing as a result. I wonder if its on the consideration list to add something like fell or trail running as another outdoor pursuit. Ultra marathons are getting more and more popular so you could roll it into one event. Who wouldn’t want to see the coverage cut away to some lush mountain the runners are busy on? |

Finding the disc in amongst the smithereens of all the other discs would be a nightmare. Given the video feed made it to viewers within seconds, no reason it shouldn't be used by umpires too.
I assume the whole situation is to do with slowly moving rule changes in the skeet shooting world.

Crazy women's RR. That is the most instantaneous G2 syndrome I've ever seen.
The coverage is actually getting worse as well, long shots of the church, zoom in on random spectators, repeated shots people way down the field. Whoever is in charge has never watched a bike race in their life.

It much simpler than that. Olympics TV audiences across all age groups are declining. The viewing figures for the Under 30s are causing a lot of worry inside the IOC. Your product needs to deliver that demographic for advertisers. Toyota have already decided to end their sponsorship of it. |

Looks like the new Jamaican is a man called Oblique, with a great win in the semi. Hinchliffe has a nervous wait for the other two semis, hoping for a fastest loser with 9.97.

Edit- not quick enough. First four in middle semi all quicker, but plenty to build on for the future
