Yep. That worked, cheers.
Did many of you fight the proper boss at the end of the mine?

Yeah, fight that fucker. He gives a decent weapon for the warrior archetype IIRC.

Afraid not. It's not the end of the world, and it's a pretty frustrating fight in fairness so I wouldn't worry too much.

I didn’t find it too bad, but think I’d basically lucked into having the right archetypes for it. A mage with Ice spells is your friend as is the fire resist from the melee class that can’t remember the name of.

Dunno but it’s certain WTFU What put me off Persona was the constant relationship akin to a teenage boy/girl. Perhaps if I was a teenager I’d be more into it, but just felt awkward being a grumpy old man deciding who I want to romance.

Don't think there are romances in this but not 100 percent sure as I'm trying to avoid reading too much.

Sorry i meant it was supposed to be certainly not certain because it’s quite bizarre like Personna

Just tried doing the second major dungeon (Martira) in one day... The boss fight really didn't go well with half full MP! I'd say that's going to be a major struggle without a full tank. Full heals on bosses with massive health pools and no real weaknesses can get in the fucking bin!

Get the healer to rank 10 asap when you unlock it btw. Having done this last night, this is completely sound advice. Do this.
It seems to do a decent job about making sure you're not going into dungeons over levelled and saving time. If you're too high level you can tear through enemies on the field without getting bogged down with the turn based battles at the expense of less XP which then sort of keeps you around where you need to be once you reach the seconf half of the dungeon where enemies are more within your range. This game's pretty smart.

Thirded. The ability you get for doing this is pretty essential, I would say. Very happy I pumped a load of the items that increase your archetype XP into Healer to get this as soon as possible. Saving these to do the same with Gunner, when I unlock it. Finally finished the first real dungeon. After thinking the mines was much shorter than I expected, this ended up being an awful lot longer than I thought it would be. If anything, it was a bit too long and I was feeling it drag a bit for such an early dungeon. The fight right after is cool though, with massive reference to a character from the Garden of Earthly Delights - en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Garden_of_Earthly_Delights?wprov=sfla1 (I knew it looked familiar when fighting it, but didn't realise it was such a direct copy).

Heh, there was me thinking egg butt was an original design. Hooked on this game to the point that it'll be a struggle to get through work today, and I'll probably have to force myself not to play it at lunch otherwise I wouldn't stop. Second major dungeon down now after spent a couple of days finishing off any other active quests and farming a bit of XP. It's still an absolute slog of a boss fight and a low point of the game so far, but bearable when you're over levelled and can just stick it on auto play and go make dinner Apparently if you use the toilet in your mobile base on idlesday you get a boost to the luck stat.

Yeah, that's the one. In fairness I probably made it more of a slog by putting it on auto play, as the party just chips away at the regenerating eyes constantly and only does damage on the boss itself when they're both down, so it takes absolutely ages to finish.

I never bothered taking both eyes out at the same time. I looked in my inventory and realised I had 4 of the accessory item that makes you immune to the daze status that I had stolen from enemies earlier in the dungeon (garlic something) so I equipped that on everyone which meant the boss kept wasting turns doing its gaze attack which did absolutely nothing
made protag a Gunner and used him and Hulk Knight to keep attacking one eye for the pierce weakness, warrior and thief focused on the boss itself

Really glad to see this game going down so well.
Between Persona 3 Reload, Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance, and Metaphor, Atlus is having a hell of a year!

All Sega published games, who have also had Like A Dragon: Infinite Wealth and a Switch release of Yakuza Kiwami out next week, that I'm sure will do well.
Can't imagine anyone thinking Sega would be the publisher pumping out so many bangers in 2024 a few years back.

If they wanna do Shenmue 3 all over again I'll be ok with it
I do hope someday they'll put out VF6, but I dunno what type of game it would be in this day and age with ultra finishing moves and all that. VF is too pure.
