My partner’s parents live near the McVitie’s factory in Carlisle - as with a lot of similar places they have a little shop where you can buy bags of broken or misshapen biscuits at a discount. Clubs, Gold Bars, that sort of thing. You soon realise how bad these biscuits are when you’ve bought a carrier bag full of them.

I just want Rowntrees Secret chocolate bar back. That was a legendary chocolate when I was a kid. That teamed up with a packet of Roysters T-Bone Steak crisps was just the best while I read a copy of Mean Machines Sega or Official Nintendo Magazine.

Mars bars are great, they are my number 1 go-to with Snickers next. I like to rotate my chocolate selection though Probably Double Decker next, always Crunchie on a Friday No chocolate today though  |

I'm not sure I could stomach a full Mars Bar nowadays - too sickly.
The fun-size ones you get in mixed multipacks are nice, though; same with Snickers and Milky Way.
Now I'm hankering for one of those variety bags. Good job Halloween is coming up!
I tend to buy more than I need - accidentally, of course - and have loads of leftovers when the trick-or-treat crowd has dispersed.

While on the subject of cold chocolate there is an argument to be had over whether the ice cream bars of Mars bars and Snickers are actually better. When I was younger I practically lived off the ice cream bars for a while.

Lindor balls and cadburys fingers are my crack. If I open either then will all be eaten no matter the box size.
The way the balls just eventually pop after you suck on them long enough. Heaven. So much flavour to their chocolate.
Fingers with a cup of tea is also top tier pleasure.
